We got to the parks at about noon yesterday. We did the tiki room, met jasmine, rode jungle cruise, did castle walk through, and saw the parade before a great dinner at goofus. Dl was very crowded! Hopefully today is better!

Wish I were there :-). Let us know how it looks today. Ride POTC and BTMRR for me :-).

Yay!! You're there! You put a lot of time into planning and getting all the details right, based on your posts here on the DIS. I'm so glad it's coming together for you - and I'm thrilled that you guys had a great time at Goofy's! I can't wait to hear more about that and hear whether or not there were a couple of Princesses at Goofy's (I remember that the Princesses are very important to find on this trip)!!

It was crowded yesterday because the LA Lakers were visiting.
I was hoping to go, but I had to work. :[

Sounds like you and your family are off to a very good and fun start for your Disney visit.
I hope that it is not crowded for the rest of your vacation. I don't really like crowded areas either, for a number of reasons.
It is good to know by the sounds of it, that no one lost their heads while on safari upon the jungle cruise. I hate it when that happens, you know?....
Remember not to sit too closely under Jose, because he is quite the nibbler, a real foodie actually, like all parrots are. So you see his irrigation is a normal, rather frequent and not so neat one, to say the least. Also beware that parrots are happiest when they are noisy and destructive.... so make sure that if a parrot should end up sitting upon your shoulder, that he or she is behaving themselves. Otherwise, jewelry can be missing stones, or you can end up with a half eaten hair clip, and so on and so on. Believe you me I know. And whatever you do, do not I repeat do not give Jose or one of his feathered buddies, a Kleenex, unless you care to see what the Tiki room looks like in a snow storm. Parrots don't mess around when it comes to shredding paper goods. Or clothing for that matter. Or perhaps I should say they do mess around, for they can make such a big mess at that. :)

I hope that you and your family continue to have a wonderful, fun and exciting time while visiting the land. :flower3:

As of right now we've seen six princesses w/o going to ariels for a meal that we would not have even eaten. My two year old has been so awestruck!

Ninnies was great! We saw twelve characters there this morning! Olivia was in heaven!

Love to hear when people are having fun!! Any pictures? Have a Tigger Tail and a Chocolate Covered pretzel for me! :rotfl2:

Yesterday was also the last day before the SoCal Select APs were blocked for the summer, so you know many of those people were getting in last minute trips.

I was there yesterday and the Lakers were NOT there. It was a rumor started by some CM's because apparently Kobe had gone there after their last championship win the day after the parade downtown, so they were trying to figure out what the code was that was sent to several higher ups and "assumed" it was due to the Lakers or Kobe. Both proved to be wrong.

The reason for the crowds was that So. Cal (not the cheapest, but the 2nd level) were not blacked out on Monday or Tuesday but are blacked out until next Monday - Wednesday. Add the World of Color into the mix, and you ended up with huge crowds; none of which were related to the Lakers.

Kobe was at DLR two days ago (June 22nd). Not only did I see a whole segment about it on our local news yesterday, but there were at least a couple of pieces on the Internet about it, this being one of them (he was seen by people at DLR):

It's no surprise that Kobe was at DLR. He and his family have been seen there a bunch of times in the last 2 years anyway (I'm sure they have APs or a lifetime free admission or something). They eat at Storytellers from time to time. They seem to like it there. So this visit just happened to be right on the heels of the Lakers' championship.

How exciting! Six Princesses!!:cool1: That's so wonderful - your daughter must be in heaven about now. It worked out perfectly that you got to see Princesses and you don't have to end up going to Ariel's if you choose not to. It would have been a lot of extra money to spend on food that wouldn't have been eaten. That was a good plan you had - to save Ariel's until the end in case you had no luck with the Princesses.

So I assume the six Princesses include whoever was at Goofy's and also at the Princess Fantasy Faire?

We saw jasmine in adventureland and at goofus, aurora was also at goofus, ariel belle and Tiana were at Pff, and Cinderella was at the drawing show at dca. She definately was in heaven! We couldn't believe all thecharacters we saw atminnies! It was great!
