We are tenting it at FW. Sis and family are at Pop. Can they get to my tent and

hang out with us at night at the campground some nights, and other nights we'd like to join her and her kiddos at Pop facilities. So, how does security work, and how about late night transportation? If they stay for the movie, can they get back, etc?

Sure they can. They just take a resort bus to FW and change to an internal bus that goes by their loop. If they don't want to take a resort bus, they can drive to FW and park out front in the day lot. Then they just hop an internal bus back to your site. I have a map of FW on my webpage (link below) that shows the reception outpost where they would park and all the loops.

Do they have resort buses to FW? I have never seen one. I thought you had to take a bus from the resort to any park or DTD and then switch to the FW bus. I know a very long time ago there was a bus from Dixie to FW but I thought that bus was canceled. If there are buses between FW and the other resorts I would love that as we like to explore the other resorts.

Resort buses do not go to other resorts (least Pop and All Stars don't). When I stayed at Pop, I took the Pop bus to DTD and transfered to the FW bus, and vise versa. I did this to go to Hoop Dee Doo.

To get from any resort to FW you will need to take a bus to either one of parks or to DTD and then transfer. If taking a park bus, you will need to know the park hours because the buses will stop running 1 hr (is that right) after the park closes. The DTD buses run until 2 am (I think).

I would recommend for the trip to FW, taking the bus to the MK and then transferring to the FW/WL ferry boat. This is a lovely way to arrive at the Fort. From the marina, you can either walk the 1/2 mile to the Meadowlands Recreation Area where the movie is or wait for an internal bus.

After the movie is over, unless the MK is open late, you will want to take the internal bus to the Outpost (front of FW) where you can catch a bus to DTD and then transfer to a POP bus.

It is a long process, so if you have a car, you may just want to drive to FW - show your resort ID at the gate and park at the Outpost ... then take the internal bus (or walk the 1/2 mile) to the Meadowlands Recreation Area.

Oh, maybe if you drive you would just park in the far parking lot at the front of FW, leaving your resort parking pass in the front window. This way you don't even have to go through the Security area.
