I got an awesome rate for the DL hotel for Nov 14-17th...I am really excited. We have never stayed there before.
We have been to DL many times but always stay at the Hilton, Marriott, etc.
We did not want to spend the extra for the GC as we really like the DL better.

anyway......I requested the Sierra Tower with a DD view.

Can anyone give me any tips???

As far as your request goes, Sierra is the one I would request. I thought the rooms were bigger than in the Bonita Tower and the bathroom layout was much better. I waited for the monorail a couple times but I could have been at the entrance to Disneyland, by walking, before the monorail even showed up. The line at the Coffee Store over by Goofy's Kitchen can get long and moves real slow. If you want coffee and bagels or muffins go real early!!!

There are rooms that have 2 queen beds and a daybed. May ask for one of those for the extra room. I don't know if the non daybed rooms are as big, but having a exrta bed/sitting area is always a good thing.

I have heard the bakery in DD discounts their items a hour or so before they close. You could alway get breakfast items (if they have any left) to take to your room for a morning treat. And if you ask for a coffee maker they will bring one to your room.

You will have a magical time. I am hoping to get a good AP rate for our Dec trip and stay at the DLH.

The Disneyland Hotel is Beautiful, you will love it and never want to stay anywhere else when you go to Disneyland! The Sierra Tower is a GREAT choice. Make sure you spend some time at the pool if weather permits, there is a discount shop located by the Jungle Cruise boats that offers disney merchandise at a great discount, tour the hotel grounds and enjoy the feeling of Disney 24 hrs a day!!

try to see the fantasy water show at night, dh and i thought goofy's kithchen was great!!! Have Fun!! ......goof

Yes, that was one of my favorite memories, it's vey cute! I'ts in the back by the waterfalls, sorta behind Hooks Pointe, I think it starts around 9:30 pm.When we were there several people were dancing and having fun,old ,young and in between, it was very sweet! I also heard something about hand feeding the big poi? fish in the morning, but we did'nt do it, maybe some one else knows about that? We stayed at Paradise Peir cause Disneyland hotel was booked up, we really loved it! hope you have fun!........goof

When we stayed at PP we went to DLH to check it out. One of the neatest things was the koi fish. THey are so big and fat and they have scheduled feeding time when you put your handi n the water with fish food they give you and the koi eat it out of your hand. It is the neatest feeling, check it out. Its free and fun.

Quick question! I am going that same weekend and I'm wondering how you got the good rate. Do you have an AP or did you use one of the travel websites? I'm just wondering because if it's an AP discount, that will make me very happy!

We got the American Express rate which was $10 cheaper per night than the AP rates. We have AP's too.

$119 per night for DLH......woo hoo.......:smooth:
