Great news that Cam is home, hopefully he will eat something soon

Cam is still refusing to eat but we are changigng our tact now and we are not going to mention food today and see if he will ask if he thinks we are not pushing it !!! Hopefully he will or I will have to phone the hospital tomorrow and tell them he hasnt really had anything all weekend

I know this isn't an ideal meal but have you tried something like a McDonalds? Or whatever his favourite take away meal is?

I say this as when I was about 10 I wasn't allowed out of hospital until I had eaten and I really didn't want anything as it hurt to eat but my dad drove to McDonalds & got me and the other 3 young girls in my ward a McDonalds, it worked as we all ate it and those that were due to be discharged were allowed home.

I know he is at home so slightly different situation but it may be worth a go.

I have bought so much rubbish trying to get him to eat and he just says no thanks im not hungry just now !!!
He has refused Macdonalds, Ben and Jerrys ice cream, krispy kreme donuts, Jelly, Chocolate and much more
So you see im not bothered what he eats just as long as he eats if he only ate bars of chocolate id be happy !!

Just wanted to share with you guys that finally Cameron has started to eat - he has had chocolate biscuits and half a piece of toast this morning
Never thought id be so happy to see a kid eating chocolate

Should just say we resorted to bribery he really wanted a new wrestling ring ( suppose to have it for is birthday on sunday !!) wayne told him if he ate something he could have have it so he ate some noodles last night and then tried really hard with his toast this morning.
Bribery and corruption is certaintly the way to my sons stomach x x x

Glad Cam has eaten something, nothing wrong with bribery, I do it all the time with my niece

Great news Cam's eaten something. Who cares what - a calorie is a calorie at the end of the day and he needs those to get well so if he get's them from chocolate what the heck. Lets face it if he "earned" chocolate as a treat for everything he's gone through there wouldn't be enough chocolate in the shops!

Lovely technique, the same one we say we'll never use before we have children and the one we all resort to sooner rather than later. LOL I love a bit of bribery. Such a relief he is eating - still can't believe he passed on the krispy kremes.

My son does love to do things the hard way - just as we start breathing again he makes sure we know we have a long way to go.
Cam had a bleed in the night which we didnt know about until he woke up - the what ifs are far too scary to even think about!!
The hospital say he probably slept in a funny position or maybe a blood vessel burst but as it had stopped they didnt want to mess in case it caused more issues.
So we are now going to take it in turns to keep an eye on cam at night to ensure if he has another bleed we are there to control it !!
The child is trying to give me a heart attack im sure
