MATT & LAURI--------Spending the Holidays at WDW.
We were very fortunate to celebrate the Millenium, down at DIZ.
Our stay was 12/26/99 thru 1/2/00. The first 2 days were a bit cold (darn). But our luck started to turn. Everyday the temp went up 10 degrees. I guess around the 29th it cracked 80 and kept rising.
The great time we had was non-stop-----Who cared about a clock----There were times we watched the sun go down, then watched it come up. We were fortunate to stay at the Boardwalk. There was something going on all the time. We just looked for a group of people and joined in.
Some time you get a kick out of something simple. On January 1st 2000, we were heading back to our room around 8PM to go to Jelly Rolls and the dueling pianos. I said to Shirley, ' I need a few minutes to do something'.
For my friends, the couch potatoes up north, watching the Bowl Games (probably freezing outside)----I put on my bathing suit, went down to the pool and went swimming (actually both of us did). When we got home it was great to ask our friends what were you doing at 8 PM on the 1st ????
We told them, we went swimming for about an hour outdoors, took a shower then off to JELLY ROLLS to shut the place down. SWIMMING then JELLY ROLLS ; the ultimate.
Being a bit of a needler, there was no way I could pass on this opportunity.
Keeping my fingers crossed, for two class people, that you have the same experience.
ADVICE---First thing you do ; throw the clock out of your window and get it all done.
John
