We are going to The Rocks Club in Scottsdale, AZ. I need to know everything about AZ!

I have never been further west than PA We have just been invited in June to spend a week at The Rocks Club in Scottsdale, AZ. We are so excited, but I would love to know about the area. Especially how far Sedona is and also how far The Grand Canyon would be. Any information about the area is helpful!

I love Arizona...although I've only been once. A friend is actually flying back from Sedona today.

Visit www.arizona.com for lots of travel info. I've spent a lot of time there daydreaming about going back to Arizona. My husband and I talk about moving out there even though he's never been.

Scottsdale is a suburb of Phoenix, although a very nice one! Be warned, AZ is HOT in June (think triple digits every day), but also the temp can vary by 30 to 40 degrees in a single day. It may be in the 70s when you wake up, but will be well over 100 in the heat of the day. Also, the sun is intense here, so remember your sunscreen.

From Scottsdale, Sedona can be a day trip (~1hr 30 to 2 hr drive, one way). The Grand Canyon, not so much (3-4 hr drive, one way).

I live down in Tucson, but travel to Phoenix and it's suburbs several times a year. Usually just a day trip so I don't get too much time to explore!

Arizona is hot!! We are almost at 100 today!! Crazy.

Grand Canyon is about 4 and a half hours from Phoenix and Sedona is an hour and a half away. Scottsdale is close to Phoenix.

I loved both Sedona and Phoenix and hope to go back someday. Sedona especially is beautiful!
