Hi! I was just wondering if anyone had good tips on going to disney land? Will be crowded this time of year, we already booked our vacation already, so it's final.

Anyone have tips for rides, so we don't have tow wait 290 minutes? Or a good place to look for a schedule online?

2 adults- a 16 year old, a 10 year old, and a 4year old.

Is ridmax any good? My mom doesn't want to do it. Um...does anyone one know of any free programs that might work the same way?

At this time of year, its considered a low season. I havent seen any lines that has gone past 1 hour wait time(Weekdays). Disneyland also have fast passes where you get it, go visit another ride, then come back later. There isnt much planning... just pace it out would be the best. and make sure whatever ride you want to go on, you must wait...

Ridemax looks really stupid considered how they would know how long the lines are... :/ i dont get how it works unless your actually at the park gettin directions from them.

Ride your heart out during the weekdays. When you hit the weekend, it's going to get significantly busier.

Are you interested in the Halloween Party at DCA? It's a separate admission event---search for the threads about it.

I'll see you there over that weekend!! :Pinkbounc

I also highly recomend HYDROGUY's RULES!

Be sure to take advantage of the early entry! The whole hour you can walk on almost every ride in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland!

The lines shouldn't be too bad. Use fast pass when you can, and you'll do okay.

Have fun planning and have a wonderful trip! Rella :wave2:

PS: Plenty of tips in my trip report too!

we have went that time of year the past 3 years, and boys do I miss it! Pack warm clothes for the evening! and an umbrella just in case. The Halloween decorations look so much better this year and sneak in some holiday shopping while you are there too! Watch Nightmare Before Christmas before you  go!

I forgot one thing kids in Vegas have the Friday before Halloween off from school so it will be full of NV plates from friday on.

My best advice is get to the park before they open and ride like crazy the first two hours, very small lines.

FAST PASSES!!! I CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!!!

I just got back, the first week of October I was there. It was considered LOW season as well, and it was NUTS!!!! Even the Cast Members were all really shocked.

Either way, Fast passes are always good to have. They helped me survive.

I never go to Disneyland without "The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland." It's a great resource and it has foolproof schedules in the back that you can tear out and take to the parks with you. I just follow the schedule. It cuts down on arguing between family members between rides and it makes for a much more relaxed trip. (weird, I know, but this way the BOOK makes the decisions and no one else has to, or can be blamed!)

Also, you can save yourself SO MUCH by going early and getting right in when the parks open. Most people mosey in around 11 am or so and then the crowd starts to build. You can accomplish so much before that, without having to wait in long lines or fight crowds.

Last, use FASTPASS. It's just stupid not to. :confused3

Have a wonderful time!

That's a good tip! My family hasn't seen it. We enjoyed the Haunted Mansion with the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay but it might have been even more enjoyable if we'd known the story.

Big FP Tip.

DCA and DL FP's are not connected to each other. Additionally Grizzly River Rapids and Roger Rabbit aren't connected to anything. On weekdays its possible neither will have its FP open.

You can go to DCA, get FP's for Soaring(or TOT) and GRR, then head over to DL. Grab a FP for Space Mountain(or Splash), the get Roger Rabbit FP. Grab new FP just before you ride any of your FP rides.

heh in addition to all the wanderful tips given the best of all comes from me. My number 1 tip is to come to star tours on the 24th and wish me a happy birthday :) :) also watch the jedi training acadamy very good show especially for the kids. have fun! :)
