Almost have put down a deposit on a repeat of last years trip just deciding on the resort. I love POR and have stayed there twice but I'm wondering if we shouldn't change it up this time and try another moderate.

Any suggestions?

Don't get stuck in a rut! Try another resort even if it is only to try the French Quarter. Is it Coronado Springs that has the pyramid slide?

Hey Chris,

Don't forget about being able to rent points from a DVC owner and stay at a DVC resort. You'll get deluxe accomodations at a moderates price :thumbsup2

Are you offering your's Alec?

Do I get a good deeds discount:rotfl: ?

I think we might try CSR ?????

Going to check out the DVC thing when we are down there.

I would change it up a bit and try something else. I love POFQ and have stayed twice, but next time we may try the Riverside or, if we win the 6/49, the Grand Floridian!!!

Hey Chris,

Unfortunately I am like the majority of DVC owners who are in constant borrowing mode and don't have any to offer :confused3

I second the idea of trying something new though. Half the fun is trying new things/places.

Let us know what you decide on and definitely take the DVC tour.

I have been to POR 4 times and CRB 1 but this time DW and myself are going to try to do a split WL  and either POFQ or POR see what is available in Sept. but we both decided it is nicer to take the boat to DTD then the bus and POR has a nice walkable resort bigger the better for walking.......

Ok TWIST TWIST TWIST lol:banana:

I'd say C.S.R. would be a fun option ,,hear it has a great spa.

WL sound great also
Hmmm why not try AKV??
Oh hang on maybe the B.C ........................wait
P.O Riverside ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh now that's a place I want to stay,,,,,,,,,,,,
HUGS Hon Have FUN deciding!!!

Well it's official. Trip is booked and CSR is the resort. POR is booked up for our dates so the choice was made for us. I can't believe it's full but we needed twelve days so maybe they couldn't fit us in.

We saved around 7 hundred bucks from rack rate with 10 day Park Hoppers and Dinning with CAA. Trying the dinning again because the eating is a part of our trip we enjoy and we used it to the fullest the last trip but I guess this time with the changes we shall see if it is still worth it.

Chris.

Hey Csaks, great stuff! We'll be at CSR too!! I booked a room only at Pop and CSR last night. Still debating whether to turn it into a package or not. I think I'll talk to CAA as well because we like the dining plan too and because of our dates and the discount pin I received I couldn't get the package for the whole trip. Maybe with the CAA discount I could.

POR is probably full already due to the Pop Warner football stuff. I've read they stay at AllStars and POR.

That was the one thing I didn't want to go through again. The vast majority of teams were great but when you get a few bad apples they just drive you batty and make a bad name for the whole bunch.

So far we have been happy with CAA and the money they save us. I'm sure you could save more yourself but I haven't got the drive to stay on top of things and phone all the time, plus they give me a ton of stuff for the drive down( maps, triptic and books on all the States we are going through) plus if I ever needed roadside assistance it's there.
