We are finally going back, and no, we are NOT driving! A May/June 2013 PTR

Following along!

To cut back on pages for your autographs, you could have groups of characters share a page (like everyone from one movie together).

Have you heard back from Walgreens yet? I am anxious to hear their response!

That is a good idea! I am thinking I might have to just not put pictures in their books, or just not see so many characters!

NO! I might call them tomorrow, or send a message to the guy who contacted me on Twitter. I am anxious too! The books shipped, and should be here on Saturday.

Not too much to update, but I found these:

Yeah, I bought Mickey band-aids, and animal print ones for our AK days, I have officially lost it...My kids will probably make up injuries just to wear them :rotfl2:

In other news, I guess I should not have complained about the gloomy weather, because this morning, we woke up to this:

Snow day for the kiddos, although not sure why, the roads are not that bad, or so I hear, I am not going anywhere! I guess the temperature, and blowing snow are probably why they cancelled. The girls are excited to go sledding later, hopefully it will warm up a bit. Right now the wind chill is 5...:faint: DH took the morning off, he said it was not fair that we all get snow days but him! At least the driveway will get snowblowed! Maybe I will start making hair bows today. I cleaned the house yesterday, so I would have no guilt in happily crafting the day away! Might start the autograph books too!
Love the band aids!

Hey, Danica! I found you, and I'll catch up soon! and I'll post our PTR soon. My current draft is SO not as extensive as y'all's.

My PTR isn't much either, no worries!

Wow,

You are a crafty lady like my Box Mom friends. My Box Mom friends have been training me to be crafty.

I love the bows, they are so pretty. I agree, I love them all but I think the Epcot bows are my favorite!

:goodvibes

Ooh I love the bows!!! So cute! You are very crafty!

I also love the band aids! I always buy Disney band aids for our trips too!!

Thanks - I try! I can't wait to make the outfits to go with the bows!

So glad to know I am not the only one...:cool1:

So, I still have not heard anything from the friendly folks at Walgreens...I sent another message to the person on Twitter, and they said they sent my case to upper management, whatever that means. So I still am waiting to hear what they are going to do. In the meantime, I got the books today, and guess what? One says Ellie, and the other says Olivia! So they were right the whole time, even though the lady I spoke with said they were identical - so she was wrong! I was excited until I opened one of the books - and the PAGES FELL OUT! :furious: So even if they refund ALL of my money - and they had better - I will NEVER use their photo department again. I think I will just buy the girls the passports that they sell at Epcot...which is what I probably should have done in the first place... I have thought about taking the pages out of the books and binding them myself, I have a binding machine that I am using for my autograph books, so maybe all is not lost! Thanks for listening to my vent, and I will keep you posted on the outcome of this ridiculous saga! :beach:

Hello Disney fans!

This will be the 2nd time for my husband and daughter. We visited in 2004 for our daughter's 4th birthday and she only remembers the BBB experience and character dinner with Cinderella. Now she's 8 (she'll be 9 next month) and she's been teasing for over a year to go. We're surprising her. Of course, we know it will be busy (February 17th - 22nd) but I can't handle the summer heat and Easter break is booked already (Fort Wilderness campsite). We've never stayed at Ft. Wilderness and the last time we went we stayed off site. Unfortunately, we have to drive. We live in Western New York, south of Buffalo, and plan to leave Friday night/ early Saturday morning. I'm wondering about places to stay in Georgia and about a golf cart rental at Camp Wilderness. I'm told outside sites can't rent golf carts anymore and the cost seems so pricey. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Are you in the right thread?

Beautiful family! You've inspired me to sew something for my daughter and niece for our trip! Where did you get the ribbons for the bows? So cute!

Sorry to hear about your autograph book experience. How frustrating! Your sure are crafty! I'm a scrapbooker, though not as much as I used to.

Thanks! I can't wait to start sewing! I need to wait a little longer in case the girls grow! The ribbon was purchased at JoAnn's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby and Etsy.

I try to be crafty, I really enjoy it! I started making hair bows and sewing when I was in high school! I started scrapbooking in college, so I guess I have been at the crafting game for over 20 years! :) I still have not heard anything from Walgreen's, not sure what to do now...

Joining in--I'm in the June FB group, not sure if you're there or in a May group. I'm planning a trip June 3-10, with just my kids (DD19, DD 16, and DS 10) this year. DH started a new job this past October and won't have enough vacation days built up, so I decided to go at it alone.

Enjoyed seeing all your cute matching outfits/hair-bows for your girls. I remember those days all too well.

We did the Dessert party during our May trip last year (2012). It was a lot of fun! Just keep checking the DIS thread and as soon as it opens up-call!

Looking forward to hearing more of your plans! :)

:welcome: I am actually in two groups, one for May and one for June, since my trip spans both! Have fun on your trip! I can't wait until the girls are older, and we can take a "simpler" trip! I do love all of the crafty stuff, but sometimes I think it is a bit much! I sure hope we can get the Dessert party!

Thought I would share the outcome of the Walgreen's saga...:thumbsup2 They called me today, and basically, both agents I spoke with were in the wrong, and I am getting my money back for the second book I ordered. They are re-submitting my original order, and hoping that the binding will be right. The lady I spoke with was very nice and helpful, and she was very apologetic for the agents I spoke with. She gave me her direct number in case the books I receive are incorrect in any way. Hopefully they will get it right this time! I thought I would share what the books look like, for those who are curious!

Here is the cover. I was a little upset that part of it was cut off, but it is fine!

Here is one of the inside pages. Super cute!

And here is a pic of the falling out pages:

Of course, I will let you all know what condition the new books are in once I get them! :)

Ok, so I did not win the Disney Time sweepstakes or anything, but I did win a $25 Disney gift card in a Disney photo contest! Not sure I can link to Facebook, but here is the link to the winning photo - it was through Dad's Guide to WDW. 99
If that link does not work, here is the photo I entered:

110 more days until I can spend that $25!

Bummer the pages fell out and for the whole picture book fiasco. Glad you finally got a rep who could help you. What a saga!

I can't remember reading where you got the design for that EPCOT passport book. Did you make it or get it somewhere? It's fantastic! :thumbsup2
