Im so excited to be coming back to DLR we will be there July 17 thru 26th with 5 day PH staying at castle inn and suites we havent stayed here before but I have read mostly good things...it will be me my 10 yr old and 11 yr old...we are coming from Missouri with a stop in Dallas TX for my sons baseball world series first... Super excited about star wars land! Im planning on doing the WoC dessert package something ive always wanted to do and so far havent got a chance...it has been a few years since we were there last, i think the biggest question I have is about Max Pass thats kind of a hefty expense is it really necessary for us to have it?? I also LOVE photo pass though is it worth it just for that? Because there isnt another photo pass option anymore is there?...i think this is the biggest thing that has me a little stressed out so any advice on that or any other new info would be appreciated!!

MaxPass is NEVER necessary. It’s just nice. On a 5 day trip we buy it for 2-3 days. I recommend using it on day 1 and then deciding day by day from there. It takes a lot of energy to really get the most out of it so using it Day 1,2 & 4 is how we ended up doing it last time. Photos being included are nice but nbd for us. Ride photos aren’t really our thing and any time you see a photopass photographer in the park you can ask them to take the photo with your camera/phone.

I agree with the PP that suggested using it on some days and not others. Also you can put it on one person's pass and not others. I did this when we had APs. We didn't think it was worth it for all of us, but I wanted the photo pass. So I purchased MP just for my pass, then a couple of times I purchased it for one day for other passes too so we could use the FP benefit too.
