Welcome home, Claire. How did it compare to DLP?
we love both as WDW has lots of great things to do, more theme parks, more attractions and more to do in the evening and night time, however I did not like the Magic Kingdom park as much compared to the
Disneyland park at DLRP. The entrance to the park was not as pretty. The theming at DLRP is a lot better, In Fantasy land the outside of the rides like Snow White and Peter Pan at DLRP look much better. At DLRP Adventure land and frontier land look amazing compared MK, everything looks more real at DLRP. The queue area for POTC was not as good. I think the park was more concrete and plastic looking than DLRP however We enjoyed the park, we just did not think it looks as nice and some of the rides like Big Thunder Mountain don't compare to DLRP version.
We loved the World showcase and Boardwalk in the evening, it was nice to have somewhere different to go, we had a lovely evening at Boardwalk, I would love to stay at the Beach Club or Yacht club, the whole area looked fantastic.
The picture was taken at LOMH, I would definitely recommend it for anyone with kids who love fantasy land, we did all the rides before the main park opened and then when the rest of the park opened we did Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Jungle cruise, POTC with out any wait in the first hour. we hope to go next September again.
