It was an AMAZING Trip. I have just started my trip reports, and gathering unprofessional pics from my family. I will be sharing very soon. I wish it coud have lasted for alot longer!
My Mom hosted our welcome party at Disney's Winter Summerland Mini Golf Course. It was a great way for both sides of the family to meet each other and have some fun. They provided a fenced off area with tables & umbrellas seperated from the rest of the golf players. We had pizza, soda, juice along with 2 cakes for $19.95 per person which included the mini golf game. Since our stepdaughter is allergic to Soy & Peanuts my EM Ken Weaver went out to Pizza Hut for a special pizza for her as well as frozen fruit bars for dessert (they really went above & beyond). I asked for purple balloons and they provided 3 different shades. It was shaded and pretty cool where they sat us. The golf course was not too busy at 4pm which made it nice. This is where we gave out the welcome bags to the people staying off site and those who arrived later. We spoke to the 2 attendants handling our party and she said normally they do children's parties and our wedding welcome party was the first they did. She said it was a refreshing change. We tipped her and the other girl $20.00 each for their great service. I'm really happy we did a more casual get together as we had 6 children in our group. Some of the older adults took the game pretty seriously! Here are some pics:
