We All Want a Jar of Hunny!~A Nov. 2010 TR! *NEW October PTR 4/4, pg 42!!!*

I'll never get to WDW during Food & Wine unless I stop teaching! I can't imagine how much fun it is to just go around to all the booths trying foods here and there. It's like an upscale version of Costco or BJ's!!! Haha.

Sorry, I'm a little bit behind on my comments. Bummer that you didn't get to eat at EoS for lunch! We've only been there once (back in January), but it was quite yummy and I'd love to have it again. Wasn't that Parisian Cosmo Slush yummy? We ended up going back for seconds on that one. Looks like you hit some good F&W booths in your first day! I could have had seconds in Italy and Poland too! And you got both boat rides in! Not bad at all for the arrival day. Looking forward to hearing about your experience at Le Cellier. Based on the purple you are wearing in that pic in the last update, I'd say we did see you (well, your back) at Le Cellier. Were you facing the wall? Anyway, I'm going to work on my update from that night today, so we're keeping pace well here! :rotfl:

Yummy! More awesome food pics! :lovestruc Oh man those pierogies from Poland had my stomach growling. I eat pierogies on a weekly basis. My sister makes pizza using them, and it is SO good!

I know what you mean about getting excited over the little things like sitting in the front of the boat. I am the exact same way! I always get so excited when we get a good seat on any ride. Just once I would like to get a good seat on Soarin'! I always get stuck looking at the people's dangling feet above my head and it kind of ruins the experience! :rotfl:

How in the world did you skip the caramel shop woman????? Didnt you see that we went like a dozen times :rotfl: Each time just get something different until you try them all

Great start...thanks for the chapter links too-it makes it so much easier to find your posts. :thumbsup2

LOL about seeing Snooki. Kind of strange some of the girls say that she's their idol.

And yes, the Christmas tree at Epcot is the same one every year. ;) hehe

Thanks! I'm glad I learned how to do chapter links, it makes reading TR's so much easier! Although sometimes I like reading everyone's comments too!

I kind of figured the tree's would be the same every year! I'm kind of sad they stopped doing the Lights of Winter at Epcot, I missed those by a year! I hope they bring them back someday, they look so pretty! :confused3

another great update!!!!! My friend has the perfume! It's expensive though! She waited until we got our cast holiday discount (50% off in stores) and then bought it. It doesn smell good!!

All your food and wine pics makes me wish we had gotten food and wine but the lines were just too long on Sat and we were stuffed from France on Monday. Next time, we will have to build in more food and wine time!

Thanks! I didn't even look at the price of the perfume, I just assumed I wouldn't be able to afford it...that and I didn't want to be reminded of Disney every second of my life...it's hard enough as it is to think about something else! :rotfl2:

I wish we had more F&W time too, especially a day that wasn't on the weekend, but we had a great time with what we did manage to get in!

Thanks for sharing

You're welcome, thanks for reading! :cool1:

I keep thinking about going back to school for teaching and one of the things that makes me not do it is not getting to take vacation whenever you want...I'd have to go go WDW during the busy times! :rotfl: LOL, next time I'm feeling sad about not being in Disney, I'll take a trip to Costco to remind me of F&W...great idea! :rotfl2:

We are kind of obsessed with EoS so it was annoying that we didn't get to go on our first day, but at the same time, we could have just waited and we chose not to! I've heard there is one opening in New York City soon, which is close to me, so I might have to go there just to get a sandwich and check out the new Disney store!

That cosmo slush was soooo good...definitely my favorite of the France slushies! They should really have it all year and think of something new for F&W, it's not fair that people who don't go during that time can't try it!

I was facing the wall at Le Cellier, that was probably me that you saw! I didn't look around the restaurant too much, just the area we were in, so I didn't see you, it's too bad we missed each other!

Yummy! More awesome food pics! :lovestruc Oh man those pierogies from Poland had my stomach growling. I eat pierogies on a weekly basis. My sister makes pizza using them, and it is SO good!

The pierogies were SO good...and I eat pierogies a lot too! I've never heard of making pizza out of them, that sounds great!

LOL, I was SO excited on the front of that boat for Maelstrom! And I'm the same way with Soarin, I love sitting in the front row...you know, if you ask to sit in the front row, they will let you, you will just have to wait until the next ride. We asked if we were going to be in the front on our first ride, and the guy said no, so we asked to wait and he said that was fine...but then we said forget it, and we will sit wherever they put us, and we ended up in the front row anyway! :thumbsup2

How in the world did you skip the caramel shop woman????? Didnt you see that we went like a dozen times :rotfl: Each time just get something different until you try them all

I don't know how I resisted that caramel shop...I wanted to save it for non F&W day I think, and I couldn't decide what to get! I did see how many times you went there, I'm jealous! :rotfl: I'll have to go there multiple times on my next trip!

I'm late, I'm late, but I'm here! :D I want to do this time frame for our second trip, so I can't wait to hear how everything went!

Oh my god, if I would have seen Snooki I totally would have gone the other way too! Where have we gone too that teenage girls are saying that Snooki is their idol! Unbelievable.

Great update, Jen. All the goodies from the F&W look great. I can't believe, though, that you didn't get something in the caramel shop. I'm like you...I get very excited when I get front row on an attraction. :)

I'm finally here! Stinks about the EoS line being so long. Hope you were able to make your way back. Looks like you made the best of your F & W time. Looking forward to more!

:welcome: You're not late, I've barely started! :cool1: November is such a great time to go, low crowds and you get to see most of the holiday decorations! If I do go again for the holidays though, I'm going to go in December, I have to see the Candlelight Processional someday!

Oh my god, if I would have seen Snooki I totally would have gone the other way too! Where have we gone too that teenage girls are saying that Snooki is their idol! Unbelievable.

LOL, seriously! :rotfl: Did you see Snooks has a book coming out? I almost want to read it just to see what it's about...

Thanks! Everything at F&W was SO good! I'd love to go again for it! And don't worry...I went back to the caramel shop!

I'm finally here! Stinks about the EoS line being so long. Hope you were able to make your way back. Looks like you made the best of your F & W time. Looking forward to more!

Hi! :) There's no way I could be in Disney for 8 days and not go back to EoS! I just really wanted it that first day and it was annoying that the line was so long! I'm going to try to do an update tonight since I THINK we are getting our Christmas tree tomorrow so hopefully when I get home from work it will be up and ready for me to decorate, so I want to get an update in before that! :thumbsup2

I'm here! :yay: Thanks for the invite.

Great start to your TR. Looks like we overlapped by a few days. I hope you went back to the caramel shop later in the week and got some yummy things like we did! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to more. :goodvibes

The beacons are lit!!!

Arrival Day part 5!

Once we were finished in Norway, we made our way back to the beginning of World Showcase. We stopped here

IMG_1394.jpg

where I got the fondue, which was really good! I had read some reviews of it before I left and a lot of people didn't like it but I thought it was good! I was eating it really fast...when these 2 people seriously stumbled up to Brandon and I and started talking to us, making no sense at all, telling us how hammered they were. :sad2: At first I was amused but I quickly lost patience and just wandered away, hoping Brandon would get the hint...they finally left him alone and we went towards Canada

IMG_1396.jpg

where I considered getting a cup of the cheddar cheese soup, but sincewe had an ADR at Le Cellier at 8:40, I didn't bother. We had some time to kill before our ADR so we went to England for a little while, where British Invasion was playing.

IMG_1397.jpg

We listened to a song or two and then looked around the shops, they are so cute! I just love the UK area of World Showcase! I thought about getting a little tea pot in the tea store, but I didn't because I didn't feel like carrying it around. :confused3

It was still a little too early to check in for our ADR, so we just wandered around some more, back to the front of WS, where I tried to get a decent picture of the Christmas tree with the lights on

IMG_1398.jpg

I guess that's the best I could do!

Finally we went to Canada to check in to Le Cellier

IMG_1399.jpg

where there were already lots of people waiting outside...uh oh! Brandon checked us in, and they told us there would be a bit of a wait to get seated, which was fine with me, as long as we got in! :rotfl: So we just stood around and waited...and waited...and waited some more! I started playing around with the settings on the camera to see if I could figure out how to get a good night shot (and listened to the pre-Illuminations dance party music, which is seriously some of THE best music in any Disney park)

IMG_1405.jpg

and Brandon played around on his phone

IMG_1406.jpg

and before I knew it, the beacons were lit, which meant it was time for Illuminations! (When they light those torches around WS, Brandon and I always say "the beacons are lit!", which is from Lord of the Rings...we're huge dorks like that!)

IMG_1409.jpg

I wanted to get some good pics of Illuminations, I went all the way up to the top of the ramp to watch, and as soon as I did, Brandon was motioning to me that we were finally getting seated! Yay!

I apologize, but I only took one picture of our food, which was dessert and I will post in a second...Brandon got a glass of wine and I tried the Red Maple (SO good, for anyone looking for a fun, non alcoholic drink at Le Cellier!). For appetizers, I of course, had the cheddar cheese soup and Brandon had the Lump Crab and Sweet Corn Custards, which he loves and I think are gross...:rotfl:! For dinner, we both had the mushroom filet, and I subbed the risotto for the mashed potatoes...mmmmm! There is nothing better than Le Cellier filet and those cream cheese mashed potatoes! For dessert, I got what I always have

IMG_1410.jpg

the chocolate "moose"! Brandon had the s'more, which is what he always seems to get! Finally, we waddled out of there, feeling totally stuffed. I always eat way too much when I go to Le Cellier, but everything is so good, you just can't help it! I'd give anything for some pretzel bread right now!

Somehow, even though it was our first night there, I was getting a blister on my pinky toe, which was so annoying...I was wearing my Teva mush flip flops, which are always so good to wear around the parks, but I guess not today. So I was walking kind of slowly on the way out, taking my time when we were near Spaceship Earth, because I just LOVE the Epcot entrance area music, which I think I mentioned before! :rotfl:

IMG_1412.jpg

IMG_1413.jpg

So pretty at night! I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but Epcot is my favorite Disney park, I love everything about it, it is just such a unique place...I kept pointing things out the whole trip saying how "Epcot-y" they were...and Brandon started doing it too! Even the signs are "Epcot-y" (if you know what I mean, if not, I'm sure you think I'm insane by now!:rotfl:)

IMG_1414.jpg

I love that they have signs for trams!

IMG_1417.jpg

We finally made it back to our car and went back to POR, where we both passed out...it was a long, great first day, and we had to get up really early the next morning...for MK rope drop, which Brandon was NOT happy about, he just wanted to sleep!

MK up next!

great update!!! I love all the pics :) Glad to hear the meal at Le Cellier was good! How was the timing of the meal? Would you eat there that late again? I had a late ADR at Teppan Edo once and it was like a ghost town walking out. We didn't know if the buses were still running based on how late it was but they were!

I'm here! :yay: Thanks for the invite.

Yay, :welcome:, glad you made it over!

We did go back to the caramel shop, how could I resist that place? :rotfl: Although, I didn't get to go as many times as I would have liked to!

Thanks! Ugh I was not happy with the pics from this last update, boring! :rotfl: They get better the next day, trust me, and I got my photopass CD a few days ago so I can start adding those pics in too!

Le Cellier was fantastic, as always! I didn't mind eating there that late, it was nice walking out in an empty park...a lot of the CM's from World Showcase were leaving at the same time, and it was interesting to see the CM's from different countries all chatting together as they left! That must be such a fun thing to do, come to the US, work in Epcot to represent your country, and meet people from all over the world! :thumbsup2 I didn't really notice if the buses were running (I'm assuming they still were) but our car was was of the only ones in the parking lot! When we were walking through Future World and I was stopping to take pictures, I asked Brandon how long he thought we could stay before we got kicked out! That would be a fun experiment! :rotfl:

AHH, I am so excited to try Le Cellier NEXT MONTH! I want to eat this mythical cheddar cheese soup!

Ugh, I can't stand drunks at Disney. That sounds bad, but they are so obnoxious. I understand wanting to have a good time, but is it necessary to get totally sloppy at a place that is packed with families and children?

I totally know what you mean about stuff at Epcot being Epcot-y. When I first went to Disney Epcot was my least favorite park because I wasn't crazy about the rides, but now that I have taken the time to explore all it has to offer it has become one of my favorites. There is just so much there! I could spend weeks in the WS. :cloud9:

Jen, I love your Epcot update with LeCellier. I'm with you girl -- nothing tops the filet and the cream cheese mashed potatos, after a bowl of soup of course. Mark usually gets the MOOSE, but I always get the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake. :worship:

Your pictures are very good (I had a terrible time with night time pictures at first, but they got better as I played more and more with the camera).

Looking forward to MK (and Brandon...no whining is allowed on vacation or sleeping in!).

If it's geeky of you guys to say "the beacons are lit", then it's super geeky of me to be sitting here thinking "The beacons are lit! Gondor calls for aid!" before you even get to the explanation of why you titled this part that :lmao:

Oh, you're totally not crazy for saying things are Epcot-y. I totally get it! :lmao:

Le Cellier, yummy! Who doesn't get the filet?

:wave2: Hi there! I just joined in and read up on your TR, Great Start! You and your hubby sound just like me and my hubby :) Meaning I am Disney obsessed...people think I'm insane because I know so much about WDW. So I know EXACTLY what you mean when you say Epcot-y:rotfl: It's like the 80s future, which I LOVE since I am a child of the 80s and remember going to Epcot when I was a kid! I expecially remember being aw-struck by the kid talking to the computer screen with someone's face on it from another country (I think it was in world of motion) and now you can do that on your Iphone :lmao: Anywho I'm rambling now! We are going on Saturday and I can't WAIT...your TR will tide me over until then :woohoo:
