Sunday, May 18 cont'd (again!)
After our ride on Toy Story Mania we headed over to the Tower of Terror...I was so excited to post about TSM that I forgot to mention on our way in we got fastpasses for TOT. As we were walking over there, we caught the tail end of Block Party Bash.
Claire and I really enjoyed it. It was such a high-energy show/parade. At the end they started playing songs like the YMCA and "Celebration" and everyone started dancing. So much fun! Seriously, if I worked at WDW I would LOVE to be in this. Next trip we'll have to make sure to see it from the beginning.
So next up we went to use our fastpasses. As it turns out, we didn't even need to use them...the wait said it was 30 minutes or so but there was hardly anybody there. We walked right into the library. While we were watching the preshow, I noticed there was some guy in there eating a popsicle. I thought that was kind of weird but figured he'd finish it before we got on the ride. So we go into the boiler room and are getting ready to load and he's still eating...umm, OK.

We finally get onto the elevator and this guy's still enjoying his popsicle. The CM has everyone loaded and took a while to close the door and he FINALLY says something to this guy. To which he responds, "Oh, I was wondering when you were going to make me give it up" and proceeds to hand the CM his stick. Well, needless to say the CM was not too happy about handling this guy's garbage. It was just sort of ridiculous. Why would you take it into a ride? Maybe he thought the wait was going to be longer or something. I don't know what some people are thinking. LOL. Anyway...we loved this ride as usual. The more I ride it the more I enjoy it. I still get a little nervous before the drops but it's so much fun.
Next up we went to see Lights, Motors, Action. The last time we saw this was on our trip in '06 (I'm pretty sure that was shortly after it first started there) so I wanted to see it again.
Some of the stuff they do is pretty amazing. One of my favorite parts was when they had a kid from the audience use the remote control to "drive" the car. And it's cool how Herbie makes a special appearance.
Since we all enjoyed Toy Story Mania so much, we wanted to go see if by chance they were still doing the previews. Luckily they were so we hopped on again! I'm telling you, this ride is quite addicting...you just want to get on and see if you can beat your score, which we all did.

On the way out we took a few more pictures of the area. It's so well-themed! Here's what the entrance looks like:
Isn't it cute with the Tinker Toys and Scrabble letters?
I thought this sign was neat too...notice I'm in my official pose again. hehe
Claire took these pictures:
These are some of the signs they had up advertising the attraction. They still had a big wall up where the new photo spot is (I think...).
Our final stop of the day (and the trip

) was the Animation building. In the courtyard area they had a bunch of signs/banners for WALL-E.
We skipped the show portion and just went in through the Art of
Disney store. We always enjoy browsing in there. We got to see a few characters:
And of course, Mickey!
We were lucky because there was absolutely nobody in line for him. How often does that happen?!?! It turns out we had good timing because shortly after there was a big crowd waiting to meet Mickey.
We did a few of the activities they have in there. Claire and I tried to do one if the singing things which we were not good at. But it was fun. I also did the character painting and I think Dad did another one of the voice things. It was a good time.

Once we were done, it was time to head out. I always hate leaving the parks for the last time, knowing you're not coming back (atleast for a while). So depressing! We found the bus stop for the AKL and headed back to the resort one final time.
up next: Saying good-bye to the World
