I love Animal Kingdom
As I get older, I fall more & more in love with it.

That totally stinks there are PM EMHs while yall are there. That would've been awesome to go to! But hey, AM EMHs are just as great!

You should totally see Festival of the Lion King again. It's such a great show! But if you've seen it plenty of times, I can see how it'd be easier to skip over and spend more time on Everest or something like that. I've only seen it once and that was this past Christmas trip, so it's still newer to me!

Hopefully sometime in the near future they'll have PM EMH at AK. But the morning ones are good too.

I agree, it is an awesome show.

Animal Kingdom is starting to grow on me. It's my least favorite park, but I think the only reason for that is the gosh darn hotness of it all. We've had crap luck on Kiliminjaro Safari seeing any animals so it's not something we seek out to do, and half way thru the day we're ready to get out of there because we're melting and want to avoid getting a bit snarky with one another.

But I love the rides there, I love the Tree of Life and all its carvings, I love the scenery, I love the FOTLK and Nemo shows....... I can't wait to go in Nov/Dec to get a different perspective on it all.

Aww, that stinks about not having any luck on the safaris! I remember the first couple we went on weren't that great but we've had some really good ones too.

I think it's funny how so many people say AK is so hot...when we've gone over spring break before we'd always go in the afternoon!

I read somewhere, that they are going to keep open the Animal Kingdom park longer in the summer.
When I did a tour a few years ago at the Animal Kingdom, we were told, the animals have to much stress being observed, and this is why the hours were shorter in this park.

I always thought the park closed early because you can't see the animals when it gets dark out.

Nice plans for AK. I've never heard of the 7am openings. Can't imagine they'll be very busy that morning!

Flights of Wonder is a great show. I like it because I'm a big animal buff. Seeing all the different birds is really cool. If you don't like birds flying over your head or getting close to you, I wouldn't recommend the show. It is something to see!

Dinosaur is probably my favourite ride at AK now. If only I can convince my mom to come on it.... that'll be the day.

You'll have to tell all about the Backstage Safari Tour. I'm really thinking about doing this when we're there next.

Yeah, during peak times they already have extended hours so when they do the EMH it's an hour earlier! Crazy but fun.

I will definitely have to pay close attention during the tour since we can't bring cameras.

We did Flights of Wonder for the first time last year during our May trip. It was an enjoyable show, not something I'd want to see everytime, but I'm glad we saw it.

While there is a funny set-up as part of the show, there is a lot of factual information and demonstrations of natural bird behavior.

BTW---I am a little afraid of birds flying toward me, but it was ok. There were a couple of times a bird would swoop down over the audience, and of course, we would all shrink down hoping it wouldn't get us!

I just got back and got one of those retro logo t shirts that I first saw here on your PTR! I wanted purple, but I didn't decide to make the the purchase until my last day, in DTD, so I had to settle for red since they didn't have my size in purple. It's still cute though!

Sarah you HAVE make time for Flights of Wonder! It's a great show. Very informative without being too dry. It's got lots of really corny humor, but I love it. When they ask if there are any adults with cameras, stand up and wave your hands like a madman, the opportunity you get if they pick you is pretty cool.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I think I'm one of the only people on the face of the planet who could care less about this holiday but if you celebrate it, have fun!

I'm pretty sure this picture was from 1991, our first trip to Disney World. Who would've ever thought that after one trip we'd have gone back so many times?!

Oh, and as a late birthday present I got a new Disney movie from Dad...

YAY!! I have been wanting to see this for quite a while now so I'm excited. And I can't wait until the next Disneynature movie, Oceans, comes out. That one looks really cool. I really want to see that.

Yeah only 20 days!! I finally got caught up again Sarah! LOVE your AK plans, Dinosaur freaks me out too but there is a part of me that LOVES being freaked out, so it's always a must do for me too!! The ME is the best!! It is the first thing that reminds me when we are actually there!!!! The pic is too cute of you and your sister!
