wdwgirl and Dad do Disney:an April '10 PTR...TR LINK ADDED!! p. 56

Cute picture! I need to see both of those movies...:goodvibes

The Princess and the Frog is so cute. I can't wait to watch Earth!

What a cute retro pic Sarah!

You are getting so close now...are you having any Disney Dreams? I always have them before the trip!

Love the movie choices. I've purchased TP&TF for an Easter basket, but I'm awfully tempted to let the girls have it....

Aww thanks. :goodvibes

haha, it's funny you say that because last night I actually DID have a Disney dream! It was weird, we were waiting to get inside Epcot, just out by the turnstiles. Then I woke up. I guess that is symbolic of having to wait a couple more weeks until we get into the parks! :rotfl:

Cute picture, Sarah! :cutie:

My sister bought both those movies for our kids to watch during our road trip to Disney---TOMORROW!!!!

YAY, tomorrow!!! Have an awesome time...can't wait to hear about it. popcorn::

Yeah only 20 days!!:banana: I finally got caught up again Sarah! LOVE your AK plans, Dinosaur freaks me out too but there is a part of me that LOVES being freaked out, so it's always a must do for me too!! The ME is the best!! It is the first thing that reminds me when we are actually there!!!! The pic is too cute of you and your sister! I still haven't seen Princess and the Frog and I want to soooooooo badly!! It's a must-do before we leave!!! Can't wait to see the pic you choose for tomorrow!!

I agree, it's kind of fun to get freaked out on that ride. Though I would not want to get stuck on it...my dad and sister said that when they were on it once it kept stopping and stuff. :scared1:

Awww! That retro pic is adorable! I wasn't even born yet :) 92' baby here! I still need to see both of those movies! Can't Wait For More

Ahhh, you weren't even born yet, that makes me feel old even though I was only 5 or 6 at that time! LOL.

What a cute pic of yall on the bus!

I love the Princess & the Frog, but I need to sit down and watch Earth. However, I really want to watch Oceans. The boys are asking to watch it as well.

YAY for being in the teens tomorrow.

Thanks!

I was just looking at the Oceans website the other day and it looks so cool. Can't wait to see what it's like.

Happy Friday (atleast to me!). Looking forward to a 3-day weekend. It's going to be busy with the NCAA basketball tournament games starting tomorrow! I'm pretty excited to go to the games here tomorrow night. :thumbsup2

As I mentioned yesterday, today we're in the teens! :yay::banana:

Ready for another picture (or three...)?!

Only 19 days until animals in our backyard!

On our trip in May '08 we stayed at the AKL in the DVC villas in the main building. Since they were still working on Kidani Village we didn't see too many animals from our room but were able to go out onto the viewing areas a few times which was so fun! Gotta love seeing giraffes and zebras right outside your door. :thumbsup2 I don't know why but I have always had visions of sitting out on the balcony eating breakfast and watching the animals. How awesome would that be?

I'm going to head over to the resorts board and see if I can find an AKL/Kidani Village thread for more pictures.

Cute pictures! And YAY for 19 days! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Gotta tell ya...I too could care less about St. Patrick's Day so there are two of us on the planet!

I had to think a minute, where I saw the movie advertised.
It was at Epcot in the Aquarium.
They had big posters up, that the DVD will be for sale in March.
We were surprised that they bought copy rights to Planet Earth, and some scenes are from that movie. I don't know if they show the largest cave in the world on this DVD, but my dd was excited because she toured it over Christmas break in Malaysia. My dd is going to give me heart failure one day.

Are you going to the basketball game?
I am assuming Marquette is playing-I think I heard something on the news.
Sorry--I know you love the team.

Love the retro pictures.

I missed commenting on your retro pic.... too adorable. :goodvibes

Breakfast on the balcony watching over the animals sounds like the perfect start to any day. Can't see myself getting tired of that. Woot for the teens! :woohoo:

Yayyy for being in the teens!!

I do wish we would have had a savannah view room when we were at Kidani in December...thinking of waking up to the animals right out our window is pretty cool!! :thumbsup2 I hope you get to see lots more than last time!

:woohoo: for being in the teens!! How exciting!!!

Love your "retro" pic...so cute!! Can't wait to ride the Disney buses again!:goodvibes

Wow! Animals in your backyard...very cool!! Eating breakfast on the balcony and watching the animals sounds like a perfect Disney morning!!;)

We watched Disney Earth when it first came out..loved it!! We are watching The Princess and the Frog tonight!! YAY! Can't wait!!

I think I saw somewhere that people were disappointed with Earth because they had some scenes from another movie or whatever. I wouldn't know though so I'm still excited to see it.

Yep, I am going to the games tonight...I think they're Ohio State-UC Santa Barbara and Oklahoma State-Georgia Tech. The schools can't ever play on their home court though (MU played yesterday). Don't be sorry for asking, I think I've been pretty obvious about being an MU girl! :)

I know, it would just be so much fun to do that! Hope that happens!

Oooh, I'm glad you liked Earth. Like I mentioned in response to Marisa's post it seemed like a lot of people were disappointed with it. I always thought it looked really interesting. Did you like Princess and the Frog (I can't remember if you had seen it before or not)?

Getting closer and closer. Congrats on getting to the teens.

I just got Princess and the Frog on DVD too. What an enjoyable movie it is! :thumbsup2

Happy Friday!

I am certainly enjoying my day off of school. This morning I went to the mall and ended up buying something trip-related. :thumbsup2 I'll post a picture once I get them up but in the mean time you'll have to ponder what it could be...;) and enjoy some more Disney pictures!

Only 18 days until TRIPLE MOUNTAIN WHAMMY!!!

Space Mountain,

Splash Mountain,

and Big Thunder Mountain
n20305212_30160711_7023.jpg

Three of my all time favorites and like Stacy says, I'm (of course!) going to ride them all! :dance3: I'm looking forward to seeing the revamped Space Mountain since it was closed in August.

I also have to say I'm getting a bit nervous about what the crowds are going to be like. I guess they added Fantasmic shows for every night when we're there and they're predicting crowd levels to be around a 9 (out of 10). And people are already saying it's super crowded. I don't know what to make of that because the same thing happened in August and we didn't think it was that bad. I'd like to know what some people's crowd standards are. :confused3 It's weird too because we just saw that they removed the blackout dates for Easter so we thought maybe that meant it wouldn't be that crowded. Hmmm...I don't know why I'm so worried, it's not like we've never been during peak times before. Maybe it's just because we've been so spoiled on our last few trips going during less crowded times. haha Oh well, it'll still be fun. :teeth:

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I love the Mountain rides. Hopefully I can convince my mom to go on Space and Splash. She'll only go on Big Thunder :sad2:

Oh! What did you buy??? I just bought something Disney-related myself last night. :woohoo:

Great pics! We would love to try out AKL next trip, we too want to eat our breakfast while sitting on the balcony watching animals...:cloud9:

I love the Mountains of the Magic Kingdom too!! I can't wait to take Gabe on them for the first time!! Hmmm...I wonder what you bought, shoes maybe???

I know I heard that a lot people were disappointed with Disney Earth. But..we enjoyed it--even the boys! Although, I did think there was a few parts that were not kid-friendly. Overall, a good movie and the imagery was just beautiful!!

We're watching Princess and the Frog for the first time tonight!! YAY!

Can't wait for the Triple Mountain Whammy!!;) It will be our first time riding Space Mountain!! :yay:

Sarah,
Your trip is coming up so quickly now. Don't stress too much about the crowds. You are a pro at touring, I'm sure you'll utilize FP and spend time doing some shopping and such when the wait times increase. I have heard that the apps for wait times works well, do you have access to that? Iphone or verizon plan? Someone at work said it worked great for them.
Hope you had fun at the games, my DH was at the games tonight too, I stayed home and watched Princess and the Frog. It was my first time watching, great movie:lovestruc. So cute.
Too bad about Marquette, it was hard to watch last night.:sad2: I like the Badgers too, so I hope they continue to win. I am enjoying your PTR, just not posting as often.:rolleyes1

hey sarah! Thanks for sharing your pics! That such a cute pic on the bus!! Can't believe you're in the teens already! It's going to come fast!! Can't wait to see more wonderful pics!!

You will find out what I got either today or tomorrow...popcorn::

I hope you get to stay at AKL. It is such an awesome resort!

Nope, I didn't buy shoes...

I think I will still like it too. Are the parts that weren't kid-friendly part of the "circle of life"?

Hope you enjoyed Princess and the Frog!

Ooh, that's exciting, I bet your boys will get a kick out of Space Mountain! One of the things we love about riding it is seeing all these kids go on for the first time. One time in particular there were these 2 kids who when they came off were just giddy...they kept saying "That was SOOOO fun!" So cute! :goodvibes

I'm sure it'll be OK. It's not like we're planning on getting to the parks at noon when the crowds are the worst. Unfortunately we don't have access to the iphone apps. Our cell phone plans are pretty basic.

I didn't see the MU game since I had to work but ugh, so frustrating. :sad2: I think I'm one of the few people in the state on Wisconsin who doesn't really like the Badgers...let's just say I bleed blue and gold. :teeth: But yes, I did have fun at the games. It was kind of exciting walking around downtown beforehand seeing everyone wearing their school's t-shirts and stuff even if they weren't playing here.

Thanks! 17 more days of pictures and then you'll get the TR (which will of course have lots of pics too).
