WDW Xmas Parade on TV!!!

Hey all!

Maybe I missed a post or something, but did ya hear that the WDW Xmas parade on going to be on TV this year!? Hosted by Regis and Kelly! Again, maybe I missed the thread, but I thought I'd let everyone know just in case! Yay!

P.S. It'll be on ABC, of course..lol

11am Christmas morning! Just bought 3 blank VCR tapes last night. One of my nice buddies will tape it for me - please oh please
Same parade I just saw in WDW so I gotta have it

I was in the World for the taping but, NOT anywhere near MK during same! What madness that day must've been!

Can't wait to look for some lime-green in the background tho!

I WAS in the MK on the day of the taping... and walked right past Regis and Kelly as they were heading to the taping.

I remember that, DblD! Someone in the crowd yelled to Regis as he walked by: "Regis - you don't look so good next to Kelly"

Regis never skipped a beat, right in stride he replied "Oh yeah - like you'd look any better"

I wonder if we'll see any DISers during the parade??

After seeing me and my mother on the travel channel special, I know just how exciting it is too see yourself on tv at WDW!

We should look something like this....though after 7.5 hours on the curb we might look a little worn....Hope we get aleast a few seconds on TV...

Why? Why were you on the curb for that period of time? What did you do to entertain your children all that time?

Just wondering about the dedication required to see this parade live.

Because they bring out a piece and film it a few times 'till the get the shots they want. Then they wait a while and bring out another one.

It is very peiced together from standing shots. We were mostly watching the singers go through the motions.

.. oh and Regis do the opening thing a few dozen times as the equipment didn't work.

We didn't have the kids but we had Scuttle.

It really was fun....or we wouldn't have stayed for 7.5hrs..... and with kids it would have been a nightmare.....
