We're scheduled to leave Friday for WDW and my DS14 injured his knee playing basketball. It looks like he will be off crutches by then, but will still be wearing a knee brace. Anyone have any experience with wearing a knee brace while in the parks? He knows we'll have to take it easy, but I'm looking for any tips to help us. Thanks :D

I have seen a lot of people with a variety of braces at WDW. After having numerous knee surgeries myself, the most recent 11/15, I would say to take it slow and use a wheelchair if he needs to. Don't want to do any further damage. Oh yes, the hot tub and the pool will be his best friend along with a bag of ice on occasion! :wizard:

I would also try to find him a cane if needed, I went with a broken toe, big toe broken length wise and thought I would be fine, brought cane just in case. Bu the third day I was glad I had it, besides the extra support it also let people know that was not 100 % and they seem to give me a little extra room instead of pushing me (maybe they saw me taking swings at people with it :-) )

Good luck and take it slow and easy
