Photo Contest Rules

Pictures should be as original as possible with minimal editing. This is a photography contest, not a photo editing contest.

Please be Careful about adding BORDERS, that is considered editing!


Entries for this contest must be received no later than 10pm EST on Sept 23rd.

Actually, it's the lighting. What's the story behind that lighting?

Must have been the time of day and the camera settings I used. I have a number of shots on this ride where the colors just seemed to pop.

This was taken at around 8:30pm, clear sunny evening, with a few clouds. Camera settings were:

ISO: 200
Mode: Shutter Priority
Aperture: F5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/500s
Flash
Focal Length: 18mm (18-50 kit lens, which I've now sold, but it really is a nice little lens. May have to get another one some day.)

All other settings were camera defaults.

Here's another one from the ride, only difference for this one was no flash, aperture F8:

Actually, I am gonna go ahead and extend the contest until 10pm tonight. I got in late last night from a last minute trip to WDW, and haven't had any time to get the contests ready. That's actually what I was hopping on the computer to do. I am gonna start another thread just to let everyone know about the extension.

Not sure if this counts....on our way to Disney......at the Atlanta Airport where we missed our connecting flight to Orlando because our plane was late arriving.......My son entertaining the masses..... (that is my sister's neckrest by the way)

Thanks, but unfortunately I had to withdraw my entry. One of the contest rules is that winners of prior contests may not resubmit the same photo. And that photo got 3rd place in the 2006 Princess Contest. I forgot and entered it anyway.

Glad you like it though. But my son sure isn't too fond of it.
