For those unsure of what Macro Photography means, the most simple definition I have found is this....Taking close-up pictures of small things is called "macro photography


Photo Contest Rules

Pictures should be as original as possible with minimal editing. This is a photography contest, not a photo editing contest.


Entries for this contest must be received no later than 10pm EST on July 23rd.

Voting will begin on July 24th!!

I've posted this before, but I just love it! This little sucker was right outside of Dinosaur in AK. He was about 1 1/2 inches long. You can use the raindrops as a guide as to his size. We like to refer to him as our own little prehistoric dino! LOL

here is a little fence ornament from HK Disneyland. taken with my 24-70L plus a 12mm kenko extension tube @ 59mm.

this is about 1 1/3 times larger than life when printed on a 4x6. if we use the ol' skool definition (see my gecko eye in the animal thread), we won't have many entries and that's not going to be any fun.

Since it says "DISNEY related," I assume that means the picture doesn't have to be taken in one of the parks--so how about this? I got these figurines at WDW when I was a kid. Snow White is about 3.5" tall. If this doesn't comply with the rules, let me know, and I'll remove it!

Unfortunately, the board limits members with posts less than 10 to not to be able to post links or images. As of this post I see you only have this one post. Once you have 10 posts you'll be able to post pictures. I had the same problem myself.

Does this pic count as macro ? Not quite sure, but it's from our last trip, at the Disney Christmas Shoppe at MK, my youngest son got to decorate the Disney Christmas tree for the day !!!
