Anyone notice this?

The offer now says "most nights Sept 2 - Sept 22".

But when I put my dates in as 9/1 - 9/9, it still comes up with the free dining prices. I wonder why they changed the wording.

I got sooo excited when I first the title. Yes your right...I tried out of curosity it is still available from August 26th??

It says starting Sept. 2 on the Disney site but Expedia still has room available from 8/26:)

I looked on the AAA travel page. Theirs is now advertising 9/2-9/26 as well, fwiw. Interesting - wonder what's up...:confused3

They may be totally sold out for the last week in August. Just a thought.

That thought occurred to me as well, but w/ others saying that there were rooms available on some sites, it seemed a little odd. Shrug... Not that it matters much anyway! lol... I'm booked 8/18-23, so I'm still unaffected!

Probably what is available before the September date is very limited on availability to match the way the ad reads. (Just because something like AAA have some availability, doesn't mean another source does too.)
I am guessing Disney would not want to advertise an earlier date in when it is very nearly sold out, or limited to what is available. Otherwise with such limited choices some people may complain it is false advertising or Disney is trying to sell something they don't have.
I have experienced numerous times stores doing that and has really irked me. Like an electronics store advertising a specific TV, only to find out they only had 3 in stock to begin with, if they really had any.
By narrowing the dates what is more available, people don't get upset when they can't book their first, second or maybe even third choice of resorts, room views or dates. (Just my thoughts :confused3 )

I think this is right on the button. I've seen them do this a lot with the AP and Fla Res discounts online. For example, the last AP discount was through June 2, then it got backed up to May 24, then it got backed up to May 16 before it finally finished. I have a feeling that the August dates booked up first because most kids are still out of school then, and that the September dates would be last to be booked if people had to take their kids out of school two or three weeks into a new school year.

Yeah, I figured maybe they changed it because they were sold out. But at least for the night of 9/1 they have availability at all the mods, almost all of the deluxes, and several of the values. So it seems odd that they'd say it starts with 9/2.

When I called and booked my vacation right after it was announced, they said they only have so many "rooms" per hotel that will offer the discount. Meaning that only so many guests per day get the discount I figured. Maybe they have used up those "rooms" for the other dates. So even if there are rooms with the hotel open, they are not the "rooms" that offer the free dining.

I saw this on the website as well and tried to book a room with the free DDP for 8/26-9/02. Every rate category had availability except values. Don't really know why they changed the dates unless it because the rate per person they advertise in some of the ads is based on staying at a value.
