I just noticed that the Disney World Ticket prices, are currently cheaper then any of the discounts I have checked on.

My company (due to a partnership with Disney) offers a 10% discount, however they are currently showing prices HIGHER then the WDW web page.
My brother noticed the same thing, on the Military base.
I checked ticketmania.com, and saw that their discount prices are also higher then the WDW web page.

I am wondering if Disney sold tickets to third parties, or quoted prices to third parties, based on an expected raise in ticket prices, that did not occur.
OR,
Did Disney lower its prices?

Were the expected price increases this April delayed or did the prices go up, and then drop again?

6 Day park hopper plus pass
WDW web page, advance purchase: 288
Military Base: 293
My company (supposed discount): 292.40
Ticketmania: 300

Are other people seeing the same thing?

Are you sure that both sets of prices included tax? Most outside sites I've seen quote prices with tax but on some Disney sites the tax is shown afterwards. I would suspect this is a possibility since the offsite prices are usually a bit cheaper (but not much).

Look on the Disney page at the last sentence before the prices are listed:

All prices listed below are before tax.

Add the 6.5% tax on your $288 base price and you're up to nearly $307.

Interesting.

My brother just told me that he saved buying from Disney directly and that the Florida tax being less then the Washington tax he had saved even more.

I am not sure I want him to know if he didn't really save, it will just make him feel bad.

I did notice that the prices, using my own company discount, did include tax, so there is a savings there.

Thank you
- Eileen

There is no Washington tax on the tickets. Since they are only valid in the State of Florida, then the Florida sales tax is all you will pay no matter where in the country you buy them. Even if you live in a no sales tax state like New Hampshire, you will still pay the Florida sales tax on the tickets. Even if you live in a foreign country. :)

Well he did save if you look at from the perspective of he would have paid about $25 more for the same 6 day PHP if he waited to buy it at WDW.

Eileen, if you are eligible for military, that is the cheapest as those tickets do not get charged tax. We ordered our 6-day passes from the Pentagon as my dh is Dept of Defense and we paid $279 each, no tax.
