Typical WDW Watercraft operations for locations on 7 Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake are as follows:

Ferry boats operate from the TTC to the MK and return. Depending on the time of day 1 to 3 ferry boats operate. Ferry boats run from 0830 to 45 minutes after the MK closes.

There are 2 Motor Launches (GOLD FLAG) that run from the MK to the GF and Poly before returning to the MK. These launches run from 0830 to 45 minutes after the MK closes.

The 3 Motor Cruisers (GREEN FLAG) that serve the MK, WL and FWC begin running each day at 0830. Until 3 p.m., they stop first at the FWC, then the WL before heading to the MK. After 3 p.m., the cruisers from the MK stop first at the WL, then the FWC before returning to the MK. Presently, cruisers run until 1 hour after the MK closes, however, there is talk of this changing back to 45 minutes after closing.

The 2 Motor Launches (BLUE FLAG) on Bay Lake serving the CR, WL and the FWC begin service at 0645 daily. They both run clockwise until 3 p.m. and then reverse direction at 3 p.m. These launches run until 2330.

***NOTE: If you want to go to the GF/Poly from the WL, CR or FWC by boat, you will have to go to the MK and then get the Gold flag launch. In addition, there is no boat that goes directly from the CR to the MK, GF or Poly. Additional boats may be added to the Gold, Green and Blue routes during periods of exceptionally high demand - like at heavy MK closings - to alleviate the guest lines at the docks. Additionally for all motor launches, strollers must be folded prior to boarding and ECVs cannot be accommodated on launches under any circumstances.

Thanks for all the info! We're headed back to the GF in December and love taking the motor launch from the MK back to the GF in the evening. It is such a time saver!

Thank you so much. This is our first trip and I was so confused about getting from MK to Pioneer Hall for 5pm HDD. And we were thinking of going to WL first and then to HDD but did not want to walk. And maybe back to WL or MK after dinner.:) :surfweb:

So if staying at WL and have a ressie for Cinderella's Royal Table or Chef Mickey's @ CR for breakfast this would be the boat to take?

Thanks!

Great info, Endeavor!

We stayed at the Polynesian last week and sure enough I only saw two boats every time we used them or even if I was just enjoying the view from Hawaii. One morning though there was a launch docked at the Polynesian at 7:30. I was enjoying my tea and he was there for about 10 minutes before he took off in the direction of the MK with what appeared to be one passenger. It was an early entry day (I think the little ones extra magic hour if I recall correctly). Do the launches run for early and late EMH or was this a special run?

No and Yes. Cinderella's Royal table is at the MK. Chef Mickey's is at the CR.

The only boats that run for EMHs (late), as of now, are the Green flag motor cruisers. Boats do not start running early for LOEMHs.

At 7:30 am, I suspect you saw a launch that was involved in off-Line training of a new pilot. The only boats running this early are the Blue flag launches over on Bay Lake.

If there isn't an alternative way to get to CRT you could take the boat to the Contemporary and then walk to the MK. It's not very far.

I vaguely remember when the Polynesian, Contemporary, Ft. Wilderness, and Discovery Island were connected via boat.

There is an alternative way described in a previous posting on this thread -

Take the green flag motor cruiser from the WL to the MK for CRT.

I'm not sure a boat ever connected the Polynesian and CR but I do remember the boat that ran from the Polynesian to FW and Discovery Island. We used to take that if we were going to the Hoop.

And wasn't there a launch from CR to MK in the good old days as well? Of course, one couldn't walk to the MK from the CR back then.

I'll check my original Official Guide and see what it listed for the various routes at that point.
