We were up bright an early Wednesday morning for our first ever day at the Magic Kingdom. I think it was the perfect way to start our WDW experience.
We got up at 7:15 and made it to the bus stop around 8:10 or so. We hadn't done as much getting ready for the day the night before as we learned to do later. We made it to the MK around 8:40 and it was pretty crowded. We couldn't make it through the turnstiles. We had no idea what we were waiting for.
We finally heard the opening song and we got through the turnstiles and began our first walk down main street. Its just wonderful, I love main street. We didn't take much time to browse the shops though, we were really wanting to get to Fantasyland.
That was a comical moment
A couple of views of the castle
We enjoyed the sights on the short walk to Fantasyland. We rounded the castle and ran smack into Cinderella's wicked step mother and step sisters. Our first character sighting! We hopped right in the five minute line. Molly was just a little hesitant to meet them since she knew they were mean to Cinderella. Of course they weren't mean to her. I was wearing my Happy Anniversary pin and Lady Tremaine asked me how many years we'd been married. I told her 4 and she looked critically at my hand and then told me she didn't see 4 carats. Everyone laughed and I told her that was something to take up with my husband

Maybe it gave him some good ideas, who knows??
We continued on to Fantasyland and walked on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh first. Molly enjoyed it and so did we, very cute. After that we headed over to Cinderella's Carousel. I found Cinderella's horse, but another mother and daughter beat me to it, so we took the horse right behind it, another walk on ride by the way.
Molly's face looked like that quite a bit that first day. She was just taking it all in. She really enjoyed herself, but during each activity she had that look of intense concentration.
Of course Cor saw the Sword in the Stone and had to give it a try. The little boy off to the side had run up just after Cor got up there and his mom of course told him to wait his turn. Cor gave the sword a good yank and it didn't come up so we got our picture and moved on. As we were walking away Cor said "Yeah...I'm ten years old." He thought it was pretty funny that he went ahead and took his turn at the sword instead of letting the little boy go ahead and try.
While we were on the carousel there was a CM who was sticking with one little boy, like for the entire ride. When they got off the little boy met his dad and a couple of little girls and the CM went walking off with them. I saw them a little later and the CM was still with them. Was this some sort of famous person to have a CM taking them around personally? I didn't recognize the guy, but that doesn't mean anything.
Next we hopped over and walked on Snow White's Scary Adventure. I was a little nervous because I'd heard it was actually a bit scary, but its Molly's favorite Disney movie so we couldn't miss it.
Molly said it was a little scary, but she liked it and wanted to do it again. We said we'd wait and try again later, we had other things to try!
We had to make a quick pit stop for Molly and Cory to pose like wild animals.
Another fun picture or two
We went next to It's A Small World. Another walk on! Woohoo! We got in our boat and headed around the world.
I just took pictures of random things throughout the ride.
Here is that blank face again.
After IASW we looked at the line for Peter Pan and decided Fast Passes were the way to go. After having walked on to 4 rides, a 45 minute wait didn't seem like a lot of fun. Our fast passes were for 12:25-1:25 and it was only about 10:15.
We started making our way toward Story Time with Belle and saw The Fairy Godmother behind the castle.
Molly had just gotten a ton of stickers from the DVC guy and she proceeded to plaster then all over herself. I said, "Molly, you are all sticker-fied!" she laughed and said "haha, Mama, I'm all sticker-fied-ed!" Cory and I cracked up.
We waited our time and then Molly got a chance to meet the Fairy Godmother.
