We'll be driving from Tradition field in Port St. Lucie to MCO in March on a Saturday. I believe the game starts at one, and we'll likely leave around 3 - 3:30 to head towards MCO. At this time which is the best route; I-95 or the turnpike?

When I look at a map, it looks like the turnpike all the way, however, the trip tic I'm building with AAA has both routes at about the same distance and time. According to floridaturnpike.com the trip will set me back about $9. If I take I-95 to the 528, it looks like I'll be out about $2.

I'm not really concerned about the $7 difference, and am just looking for best option for a Saturday late afternoon early evening.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Have done this trip MCO well our Disney resort to Port St.Lucie and back many times over the years to go visit family. In our experience we feel the turnpike is faster and less congested because of the cost of the tolls....

Avoid 95 like the plague. The turnpike is much easier to use. You'll have a couple of really nice full-service rest areas where you don't have to exit the interstate. 95 stays closer to the coast, too, so it's a bit of a slog to get from there to MCO.

That was my assumption, but i just wanted to be sure.

Thanks for the info!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
