I'm here solo, after my mom had to cancel. I'm on day 2, after arriving yesterday midday. Not sure if anyone cares, but here my thoughts.

1) Holy cow this place is crowded! Yesterday (Sunday) was nuts. I was expecting that, and I know DL is physically smaller, but there were a lot of people.

2) Single rider is the best thing ever. I've never gone alone, so I've never tried before, but it was awesome. I used it for California Screaming, Matterhorn, Splash, Soarin, and Indiana Jones. So, I did well for arriving at the busy part of the day on a Sunday.

3) The outdoor queuing is intimidating, and would be miserable if it was hot. I suppose with this weather, you can do it, but I'm so used to indoor lines with AC. I think it makes the crowd feel worse, since no one hides in line.

4) Rope drop is awesome. This is obvious, and true for WDW, but I've never truly done RD (my family is not big on mornings). I rope dropped Pirates of the Caribbean the Haunted Mansion. Who does that? Lol. But they were my remaining must do rides, and the lines were crazy yesterday.

5) DL PoC is amazing. No other way to put it.

6) I didn't love the HM holiday layover, but I wanted to compare to WDW.

7) I had a corn dog from a stand that left me feeling I'd never again experience true happiness. Then I had the Carthay Circle biscuits. There's crack in this DL food.

8) Touring alone is a blast. I'm doing much more than I expected for what will be only a day and a half. But I'm really glad I came even though my mom had to cancel.

Maybe more as the day goes on.

We were there last weekend and it stayed crazy crowded through Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were a breath of fresh air.

How long will you be there?

Going solo next week, and it is so liberating! You can do crazy things let get to rope drop and head right to POC and Haunted mansion

Consider Aladdin, to rest your feet - and because it's really awesome! Have fun, hope you can update more.

I'm happy that you posted this...I will be there Wed-Fri this week and my travel companion has to work a few hours each morning so I will be on my own. Never been to DLR so I'm full of nervous excitement!

Going solo is fun. I have been to DL several times solo and to WDW about 4 times solo. You are on your own schedule and go and do whatever you want. No trying to please everyone in a group and no waiting around for others. Get off a ride and directly on to the next journey.
