Friday 22nd August
The plan for today was to visit Aquatica, but as i warily peered out of the curtains i soon realised it was not to be A palm tree was down in the garden & the weather was still aweful!!
The news told of terrible flooding in residential areas & warned people not to wade down the street incase of alligators or snakes!!! So i was pretty glad we didnt have that problem where we were!
I did say to DH ''the mozzies will be next''.....mozzies LOVE me & i had managed to avoid them for the last 2 1/2 weeks!

Good news - they opened the pool for a while - so we finally had our 1st swim in RPR pool (swimming between fallen branches & leaves!!) it is a beautiful pool area & i cant believe i took so few photos of this resort - the weather proberbly put me off!! I do have lots of video footage...maybeone day i'll work out how to add that!!

We headed over to the Nascar Cafe for lunch
me - fish & chips
DH & DD - pulled pork sandwich with fries

We came out & ...faint, shock, horror...the sun was shining
We headed off & rode the mummy twice (DD did it again!!) & the Simpsons again, we then went to IOA & rode spiderman loads (this FOTL is brill)
& DH did Dr Doom (alone!! - i'm not that brave!)

Walking past the cheesecake factory (well its not called that now at universal but still the same!) I talk DH into just going to have a look...we end up with 3 huge slabs of to die for cake
me - choc/cherry, DD - caramel, DH - chocolate

We headed back to RPR & DD & I jumped back in the pool
It rained on & off all afternoon but it felt warmer!
That evening we went to look around Portofino Bay hotel - very grand!!! marble & chandeliers everywhere. But i still prefered HRH!
after exploring we headed over to where I had made a reservation for us at mama dellas - a lovely restaurant
DD & DH were moaning that they werent hungry enough to justify eating their but i dragged them in
They then started devouring the yummy free warm bread rolls & salad!!!
DH & I had lasagne - DH declared it was the best he ever had!!
DD - had the kids lasagne

Now the bit i had been waiting for...a lady & 2 men appeared (1 carrying a guitar) & asked if we had any requests, i asked for Bella Notte & they seranaded us - it was brill - i had tears in my eyes!!
For dessert i couldnt resist the cheesecake which was delicious but i was just too full to appreciate it!!

When i booked this restaurant I had been told that they perform outside some beautiful classical music & songs, so excitiedly i dragg DD & DH outside ready to watch.....yes you guessed it was raining heavily
so that didnt go ahead

We headed ''home'' where i discover THREE mozzie bites have appeared on my legs.....

next time...dine with shamu at seaworld & squeezing Aquatica in & the bug from a horror movie!!!

We loved the FOTL perk too when we stayed at the HRH

I had my Birthday Meal at Mama Dellas ........... it was fabulous and worth every single cent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
