OMG I am so mad right now. I am at work on lunch so I can't yell like I would like to. I just called to modify my ressie at POP from 5 nights to 3 as I am using points from DVC that I just bought. Guess what, they auto cancelled my entire reservation for no payment :scared1: . I originally had made reservation online with $105.75 deposit on my credit card. When AAA rates came out in Oct. I called and asked to apply the rate to my ressie, which they did. Whatever they did, they refunded my credit card payment a few weeks later( which I didn't notice at the time) and then cancelled my reservation for lack of deposit. What the heck!!! Now they are telling me there is NO availability at POP for those nights ( Feb 8& 9). They only have moderate resorts or Saratoga Springs. If I wanted to stay there, I would just use my points. The object was to save $$ because on the 8th I am taking the red eye down so will not even get to enjoy the room that first day anyway. HELP. What should I do???? :sad1: :sad2:

If I were in your situation, I would call back, ask for a supervisor, and calmly explain the situation in as straight-forward a manner as possible.

Good luck & pixie dust! :wizard:

The thing that stinks is that their online reservations are a completely different animal from the phone reservations, so anytime you want to modify a rate on a reservation that was made online, they actually cancel the online reservation and rebook a new reservation (with a new conf#), and the CM must have failed to ask you for a new deposit.

This is great advice. The best thing to do in these situations is to talk to someone who has the power to change what needs to be. I agree that calling back and calmly explaining what has happened will be the easiest and most effective way to work it all out. Be sure to let us know how it all pans out and the best of luck with it all.:)

Hope it all gets straightened out for you.
As someone stated, right now booking on-line (room only) is WDTC.
Booking a room only by phone is CRO.
Not that helps your situation. It stinks.
Keep us posted, and we are wishing the best for you.
Maybe try booking on line again. :confused3 There is most likely different availability between on-line and calling in.
Good luck! :wizard:

I'm a newbie when it comes to WDW and I just felt better booking over the phone than online and I book online for EVERYTHING else. Now I will continue to do so.

To OP, I hope it works our for you. Sending pixie dust your way :wizard:

ok, I called CRO again and asked for GS. They connected me with a wonderful CM Betty Jean. I explained everything to her and she did some system checking. Yes she saw that I made my AAA ressie the same day the online ressie was cancelled. She told me she would reinstate my reservation because she felt it was only fair. I stressed a few times that I was reducing it to 2 nights from 5 as I am using my points for the other 3 nights. I just checked the confirmation and it shows the deposit is now credited, however still shows 5 nights. Maybe if I check tomorrow it will be corrected?

I wouldn't bother to mess with it any further! ;)

If I needed to cut nights at this point, I would go to the counter at the resort when I got there and talk it through with a manager ..

You think so? Don't you think I will be charged the extra nights?

You would be charged for the entire ressie but currently there's no penalty to check out early, so your CC would be credited for the additional three nights. I'm really glad someone helped you. At least there are records of your reservations and they could see it wasn't your fault.---Kathy

Thanks, I couldn't help but call again today anyway. Turns out the same CM that answered my call yesterday and transferred me to GS answered my call today. She remembered my situation and looked up the ressie and yes they did still have me down for 5 nights. She adjusted it and sent me a email confirmation, so hopefully I am good to go. :yay:

I did learn my lesson to call CRO to double check ressie because I just assumed they moved my deposit over to new ressie. Last August I changed ressie like 4 times and each time they applied deposit or asked for credit card info to adjust the deposit as I kept upgrading my resort each time.
