Hi everyone,

I will be in my happy place in November and staying at YC. I have two transportation situations that I wanted some advice on. We will have a car available to us.

- One day, we are hitting MK for rope drop and travelling to AK around 1:30 in the afternoon. I hate driving to MK. Am I better off driving to MK and then taking my car to AK in the afternoon? Or should I bus to MK and then take the direct bus from MK to AK? I have never done this before. How frequently does the bus come?

- We are considering HDDR one night. Are we better off driving to Fort Wilderness? If we do that, we have to take a bus when we get there, right? Or should we head to MK and take the boat? Does the boat go from the TTC or from MK?

Thanks for your help. Some new twists here that I haven't dealt with before.

If you take the bus to MK, remember that the opening show starts 15 minutes before park opening, so you should be at the bus stop 1:15 before opening to allow for the recommended 1 hour travel time and to get thru security and get a good view of the railroad station. Buses to AK run about every 15-20 minutes, and travel time is about 15-20 minutes.

If you drive to FtW, you will have to take the bus to the Settlement Depot & HDDR. The internal buses run about every 10 minutes, and the trip can take up to 15 minutes. The boats from MK dock a 5 minute walk away from HDDR.

for HDDR you are better off taking the bus to MK and boat to FW. there is no car parking at HDDR so you would park car in lot at front of campground and take a bus to other end of campground, about a mile walk if you would decide to walk. HDDR is a short walk from the boat dock. as for parking at MK, you park at the TTC and have to take either the ferry or the monorail to MK. no way to walk from carat MK
