WDW stairs and procedures

Hi, will be making my first trip to WDW next year. I won't be needing a DAS nor 'wheels' of any kind. My only problem is stairs.

Is there a list somewhere of the attractions at WDW that have stairs? A step or two is ok.

What is the procedure to avoid those darn stairs? At DL I just go to the CM and they scan my AP (I'll have a magic band at WDW, no AP) and give me a return time if there is a significant wait, otherwise they direct me through the exit. Is it the same for WDW?

The disABILITIES FAQ sticky near the top of this forum has information about which attractions have stairs. It is post #28, on page 2 of that thread. Just tell the CM who first greets you at the queue that you need to avoid stairs and you'll be directed accordingly; you likely will need to tell each CM you encounter along the way, just to make sure you don't follow the masses and end up somewhere you can't manage.

I would have sworn there were also stairs (or sets of 3-6 steps, at least) in the regular Space Mountain queue. I have a distinct memory of falling up two sets of them (and getting stepped over by a bunch of teenage girls on the one).

I had to plead my case for a good long while at The American Adventure; the CM kept insisting they weren't allowed to use the elevator. The same thing happened to me at Pirates of the Caribbean (on crutches) when the exit speedramp was broken.

There are steps in the Space Mountain standby queue. The Fastpass like does not have stairs. If you cannot do stairs, they will give you a wheelchair return time card. At least that is how it was in September.
