I was just going though the WDw site looking at the MYW tickets and noticed a discrepance between the "Ticket Calculator" and the "Magic Your Way Ticket Value Comparison" page.

The Comparison Page shows that a 5 day ticket is $193 and the Park Hopper option is an additional $35. When you use the calculator and select a single adult 5 day ticket with park hopper option, the price is returned as $221, but it should be $228.

The same thing happens with Plus Options. The Comparison page shows a flat $45 no matter how many days on the ticket, but the calculator adds only $38 for a 5 day, $36 for a 6 or 7 day and $34 for a 10 day.

Another glitch, a 6 day ticket with No Expiration will cost you an additional $26 instead of the listed $45. A 7 day will hit you up for $55 instead of $45, so watch out.

Looks like the Disney needs some new Quality Assurance folks to review their code prior to release... :badpc:

From allearsnet, not sure how it compares to WDW official site.

AllEarsNet has the same numbers as the WDW Ticket Value Comparison page. It looks like the programmers of the Ticket Calculator on the WDW site didn't use those numbers. There are some significant differences between the published prices for the add-ons and what Disney's Ticket Calculator actually charges you.

I don't need tickets at the moment, but I wonder if you did make a purchase now if you would get the lower (or higher) option price based on the Ticket Calculator's results?

I see what you mean now. Up through 4-days returns the correct prices for all MYW ticket options on WDW's site, but for five days and beyond there is an error.

Tax usually isn't included on the official websit until you have planned everything and are ready to pay/check out. I just did a comparison with the officail web site and added tax in myself to Mousesaver's which has tax added already and came up with the same price for a 7 day, PH, water park option.

Lack of sales tax isn't the problem, one of my initial thoughts when I saw this post as well. Here is a screen shot of the difference in prices for MYW base tickets and the added PH option. Each number of days should increase by $35 with the PH. See comparison (word file)

Actually, the Disney website is correct. I, too, noticed the discrepancy until I realized that the website is showing you the ADVANCE PURCHASE price for those tickets. If you add the items to your cart, you'll see a notation below the cart that says, "You have saved $xx.xx...". Add that amount to the price and you will have the base + flat rate on whichever add-on you selected.

Good catch. I didn't go any further than the initial calculator. I was getting the prices together to build my own "What if" calculator, so I now have both the Advance and Gate prices available for comparison.

Yes you save $7, or whatever for the amount of days, over the base price of a one-day ticket bought for each of those days individually.
