WDW Resort Hotel Discounts

I was on mouseweddings.com and it said the following regarding accommodation discounts:

Usually you'll be asked to select three specific hotels for your guests (one Value resort, one Moderate resort and one Deluxe resort) and some rooms will be held at each hotel for your group. Discounts are offered to Wishes Collection participants on the hotel rooms: usually 10% off Value Resorts; 15% off Moderates, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Polynesian; and 30% off Contemporary, Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club and Grand Floridian.

Is this right? AKL and Poly are considered moderate resorts? On the official Disney website, they are considered Deluxe. And what about resorts like Coronado Springs, Caribbean and POFQ? Can you not choose one of those for a discount?

I actually had a similar question last night when I read that. My whole family was looking into staying at Poly, but there is only a 15% discount, so staying at the Contemporary would be cheaper since it has a 30% discount. Am I reading this right... It seems weird that Poly has less of a discount even though it is more $$. I understand WL and AKL since they are the "cheaper" deluxes, but why is Poly only 15% off rack rate?

It might have something to do with the fact that the Contemporary will only offer the discounts for the Garden Wing rooms. If you stay in the main building, I do not believe that you get the discount. The Poly, I don't think, really differs in the buildings (other than concierge buildings). Therefore they don't give a bigger discount.

No AK and Poly are not mods but the discount is lower than tyhe other "convention center" resorts. For resorts with a convention center attached the discount is much higher- usually the 30%. So that is why it is grouped like that (I know not clearly put ) Also you do not have to do one value, one mod and one deluxe- we have have 2 deluxes...the Wilderness and the BW. The disvount at the BW is so much better that BW only works out to be a bit more than the WL if you can believe it so most of guests have wound up staying at the BW!

We ahve 4 guests staying at the WL on a AAA rate they got cheaper than the wedding discount!
