I made our June resevation for my family of 10 yesterday and checked today on the Disney website and noticed that the price of the rooms that we had reserved yesterday had dropped by $223.50. We have until March 14th to pay the deposit for the package (we received a free dining pin code!)

My question is do I cancel the original reservation and rebook for the lower price or should I call to see if they'll adjust the price? I would love to be able to save a few dollars!

Thanks in advance!:thumbsup2

Call them to ask for price adjustment, sometimes they can adjust it sometimes they need to rebook and cancel. It just depends on the rates and availability.

Call soon because those rooms can go quickly and then you might be stuck with the old rate.

Good luck!

My experience has been that the CM's are very very helpful and have for our 2 visits just adjusted the prices for us without having to cancel the reservations and whatnot. I did have one try to tell us to cancel and rebook but he was a new CM or whatever so he was able to figure it out with the help of a supervisor. Good luck and extra savings is extra savings!!

You have to pay full price for the rooms if you want to use your free dining pin, so I don't think they will ajdust the price but it can't hurt to call to find out. :thumbsup2

Room rates at WDW typically do not fluctuate like they do at other hotels - it might be taxes or as pp mentioned paying full rate for the pin, but I agree it never hurts to call and ask!

As PP have pointed out, you have to pay full rack rate for the rooms if you want to use your free dining pins. You cannot combine discounts. Was the decreased rate the 20-40% off?

Well, I called and we'll have to pay full price for the room in order to use the free dining pin! Oh well, it was worth a shot! Thanks for the advice everyone!
