WDW pins at my TDS!!

I took a trip to TDS tonight (I live in California), and discovered a container of WDW pins at the checkout counter! They had a selection, including LE pins! I hadn't heard that they were going to do this. Anyone else see anything like this?

I would bet that someone returned some pins that they bought on vacation at their local DS. How many pins are we talking about?

That would be my guess too. This even happened while we were at DL. (A guest returning WDW pins at DL.)
This does happen occasionally here. But they are gone in a flash. Even before public viewing, I think.

Well, there was a container of about 30 pins, several duplicates. It seems like an awful lot for someone to return, but I don't know. Suppose I should have asked the cast member about it.

I was at the DS in San Bernardino a couple of weeks ago and saw the same thing. I asked the CM if they were returns and she told me no, they were in the store shipments, but she wasn't sure why.

Well, I saw these at TDS in Riverside, CA (at the Tyler Galleria). San Bernardino's not far from here, only about 15 miles. Coincidence? Strange....

Wouldn't it be nice if the Disney Stores got extra pins, rather than selling them off to the outlets? (As long as it doesn't become a free for all.)
