I hope this is ok to ask here, I'm finding it difficult to get good input on what it's currently like staying offsite now that genie+ has replaced FP. Has anyone been recently and can tell us your experiences with rope drop (that isn't really rope drop now for off site), getting genie+ and ILL's (when you can't get them as early as on site people) etc?

We will be in Orlando for a week starting next Saturday. Staying at a Windsor Hills pool house, three days in WDW, one day at Volcano Bay and two no set plans days. Originally we were going to do five WDW days and then four, but decided we weren't feeling it as much, so cut it down to three days.

The only thing we couldn't get (January trip) staying offsite was a Lightening Lane of Rise of the Resistance. That’s because they open it up to resort guests first and those guests take them all before offsite guests are allowed to book.

Everything else is as normal. Sure you miss early rope drop a bit, but the savings of staying offsite more than make up for that.
