WDW on History Channel's "Modern Marvels"

While channel surfing last night I came upon "Modern Marvels" on the History Channel. I only caught the last 20 minutes or so, but it seemed like a very interesting show about the technical wonders of WDW. It had to have been produced recently, as they were showing Expedition Everest nearing completion.

I searched the History Channel website this morning to look for future airings of the show, but could not find any. The did have a DVD of the show available for $24.95, which is a little steep. But it was a 2 hour show.

Has anyone else seen this show? Is it worth 25 bucks to own, or are we better off looking for the show to be repeated?



PS- Just saw Bob's post down the list a bit announcing the program. Wish I'd seen it yesterday! THAT'LL teach me to keep glued to the DIS!!

Yikes, I just posted on this show. My son swears he saws us on the part about Rockin Rollercoaster. We were there at the time the show was supposely being taped...smjj

I saw the last 20 minutes also. We checked the schedule on the digital cable. It will tell you when the same show is on again. It said tonight at 6:00-7:00. I'll be watching to see everything.

MHTeacher- Although "Modern Marvels" is indeed on at 7:00pm EST tonight, the topic is "Tunnels of Vietnam" which, while I'm sure it is interesting, is a long way from WDW! On another thread, it is posted that the WDW Modern Marvels will be repeated next Thursday, March 23rd.

DH and I caught the whole show last night - lucky timing while surfing We both enjoyed it. It had some nice background info on each park at WDW and an overview of some attractions at each. Covered the creating of Disneyland and Walt's ideas. Also gave some interesting technical info on the creation of the attractions.

It's lists that the Modern Marvels special will play twice on the 23rd, along will several viewings of a Travel Channel show on DCL, as well as a very cool show on Disney Imagineers. Hope this helps!
