I would guess that it is the second weekend in January, as it has been the previous years. That makes it Thursday, January 6th thru Sunday, January 9th.
Looking at the dates you mentioned (6 thru 10) that's a thursday thru monday. Perhaps they meant to tell you 6 thru 9, which would make more sense, a thursday thru sunday.
Usually you can register for the following year right after the previous year. So in theory, 2011 would open on Mon Jan 11th.
Actually, I might try for the full in 2011, just to see if I can do 26.2 miles. Then if that goes well, my plan is to try Goofy in 2013, which I believe would also be the 20th anniversary of the full marathon, so hopefully they'll have a cool medal for that like they did for the 15th.
The DL Half was wonderful, although the expo was a a little crazy. Just FYI, get in line for your shirt/goody bag early. They actually had the line for them go out the building. (it was so bad that the expo was filled to the max, they wouldn't let anyone in the building until some left.) and the corral system is a little for crazy, but not too bad. Since they only have so much room they can use. The best part by far was running through Angels Stadium, along the warning track with thousands of kids in the seats cheering us on, that was awesome.
I am planning on doing the full in 2011. I am trying to get as many of my friends as possible to commit so we can split a vacation home or even an All-Star suite. We will be going as cheaply as possible with still staying somewhere nice. If that means a value, offsite with a car, or in a vacation home depends on the pricing we can get and how many people we have.
I know it is way too far out but if anyone is going solo and wants to attach to our group all are welcome. If we end up with a vacation house everyone will have their own room anyway. None of us are shy but I could see where someone might not want to stay with a group they don't know...just throwing it out there.

If you end up with a mixed group of guys and girls, I might take you up on this. I'm planning a nice trip to WDW for Oct 2010 and my money will be stretched tight to turn around and go back for the Jan 2011 marathon.

I am thinking there will be girls also, I won't know until later in the year when we sit down and start to plan as opposed to wax poetically about the possibilities.
