WDW Marathon Waivers Are (sort of) Up!

You estimate a bout a 6 hour race with that bib?

My thoughts are there are 12000 marathon only runners, meaning your bib is about a quarter of the way up from the end. Maybe an K-M?

I am hopeful that the mouse opens up links midweek next week clearing up what everything means.

Thanks Coach, I can't remember exactly what time I entered but it was just over a 3 hour half.

I hope they release everything soon as well thanks again!

I am sure you can start in the rear of the 5 & 10k a lot easier than the other two. Though, your races will be a lot longer if you try for a McFlurry in those races.

:rotfl: If cold enough maybe I'll get an extra 3 on Sunday to make up for the other races.

Wonder if I should have a McFlurry meet at McD's during the Marathon and treat a few fellow racers.

You could haul a 6 pack up the hill

I could have sworn last year they told us which coral we were in.

My bib is 34388...so it sounds like the middle someplace. Last year I was in coral H which was the last coral and I was pretty much the last person to cross the start line.

Any thoughts on where 6747 will fall for the full?

32630 and still plan on being in the back for all starts if allowed for the 5K and 10K.

McFlurry John

Is this the plan so you can get a few extra winks in the camper??

Meanwhile are you still going for the McFlurry? This would be my dream...to get a McFlurry but I am not there yet.

Remember that this is a bootlegged link. The waivers will more than likely not be live until mid-week next week. About that same time, the corral list should be posted as well.

Assuming 5000 Dopeys, I would say you were in one of the later corrals (again, my assumption on the number of Dopey runners)

About mid field based on an assumed 12000 runners doing just the full. Sounds obscene doesn't it; when did a marathon become 'just' a marathon.

As someone mentioned above, when you click the link now, the search function is working. So, it would look like the waivers and bib numbers are official now.

We are in the 7300 range for the full, so I'm guessing somewhere slightly behind the middle of the pack. If that's the case, I'll that's about where we were last year and it was great for us.

We'll leave FW by 0230 each morning and at EPCOT parking lot by 0250. A quick walk to staging to look around and back to motor home to relax, have something to eat, watch TV and maybe grab a few extra winks.

Still going to stop at McD's for the M&M McFlurry and will be stopping in EPCOT for a beer.

Okay, got my bib number for Dopey and at some point I really need to start training for this thing.

My birthday is also off by a day. A few years ago I had the month and day switched but I fixed that and have been using the same Active account for a long time. It's frustrating that I needed to guess what my birthday is then dig through my email to find my confirmation again. When I logged into my Active account it was wrong! Grrr! I did find my number though. 46466.

Currently, I blieve the marathon numbers a 1 - 19,999, Goofy 20,000 - 29,999, Dopey 30,000 - 39,999 and Donald 40000+

So the Half *starts* at #40,000?

Correct, but this year Donald starts at 40k

Aha, yes. OK I won't die then. Mine shows as 45812 and I was thinking it started at 1. Now I'm actually pretty excited!

No, the 5 and 10k have one then the half and full use a second

Given how gross my bib was just after the TOT, I cannot even imagine having to wring it out from the Half and put it on a new clean shirt for the Full. Ew.

I was actually agreeing with you but adding that the code has been cracked for two additional years and a poor attempt at poking at the post that said the numbers will change... Sorry, sometimes the point gets lost. I'll keep my day job and leave the comedy and references to ads to others :(

FWIW I got your meaning. I might be spacey about some things, but I got that one! :)

Maybe the day before you should buy a bunch and hang out somewhere along the Half course, handing them out. ;) Just...start late. Because I'm slow. :)

This is all VERY exciting. :yay:

Yes... I too am feeling much less stressed now. My dh has a similar bib to yours... I almost would bet the two of you are in the same corral. I am thinking I will likely drop back to hang out/start with him. (assuming numbers are correct and my placement is higher than his) He and I still need to finalize our plans. Having had a couple bugs recently, my training has been sluggish... but I am still getting out running. I just wish my pace was back up to where it was before I got ill. Now dd has another bad bug (why does she have to be a little plague monkey right now?) I hope to either not get it...or get it soon enough to be over it by race day. Still... it is foreseeable that I will not be running my best. He has been getting better and better. I can see him wanting to push and run his own race. If that is the case, I may end up starting in my own corral.... but then again even if he wants to run completely solo, I imagine starting together would be something he wouldn't mind. If so... I may have to  to you!

All I am saying is that the waiver link from runDisney is not live so until that time the bootlegged path is not official. It’s a technicality at best. I would not expect the waiver link to be up until midweek next week along with corral locations, etc. I do not believe there will be revisions to the numbers as bibs have been ordered for a while.

I should also add that if one cannot find their name and number before the link is up, I would not call runDisney. It sounds like there are a few errors in the birthday locater field. Could be user error or differing formats from the various methods of entry through the year. If one cannot find their bib data before the link is live, try playing with your birthday i.e. reverse the month and day.

G'Morning, Coach~

Was just wondering if you could post your "guesses" on the number of runners in the first few corrals again? I know I read them somewhere but can't seem to find them today..
I'm asking because, using the unofficial link, my # is 731 and DBF's is 1173... I'll likely be moving back to run with him but just wanted to re-read your estimates again.

Thanks! And yes, I realize I could wait a week to find this out but I am very intrigued :goodvibes

This is my first WDW marathon and I will be running Goofy. Curious as to where an unofficial bib # of 20031 will place me? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Well, I would not have played with the numbers if I were not curious as well :)

My guess is 750 in the first 3-4 corrals based on a wider line start line and 60% additional runners than the ToT and W&D. Though it could be 1000 and still have the wave clear the start within a minute.
