I am always facinated by how Pete and the podcast know so much about WDW management.:worship:

Im going to guess that I am not alone on this next statement.

As much as I LOVE WDW I am a complete idiot as to who and how the parks are ran. (DH knows more than me just from reading the WSJ and I'm considered to be the head Disney nut!!)

Is there somewhere I could read up/learn about these people :surfweb:and what it is they do?

Not sure, but I agree with Pete... The people currently running WDW are running it into the ground. Most of them need to be fired and replaced with people who know what they are doing. Its a shame.

Can't point you anywhere specific to read up on the Disney execs, but Meg Crofton is in charge (president) of Walt Disney World in Orlando and Jay Rasulo is head of all the Disney Theme Parks and resorts. Bob Iger is the big cheese...CEO of the whole Disney Company. Jay is Meg's boss and Bob is Jay's boss.

So wait... is Al Weiss not there any more? Where is he in the mix?

Thanks for the link to the bios. I didn't see any reference to Meg Crofton being a cleaning lady as Pete likes to call her. Think Disney left that out or is Pete using that job as an example to make a point about Meg's leadership abilities?

Pete's using it as a simile. Meg Crofton had NO EXPERIENCE running theme parks when she was promoted. Pete calls her the cleaning lady, because its like going down and grabbing the cleaning lady and making her CEO. She would be unqualified to run the company and make a disaster out of it, which is what Meg Crofton has been doing. She reports to Al Weiss apparently (I answered my own question), who I believe reports to resoulo. I always liked Weiss, so I was suprised he is still there, given the decline. Not sure if its Jay or Al who are pulling Meg's strings, but to my understanding she was HR director before getting her current job... which leads back to the cleaning lady simile.

Close, that was called "What About Bob" and I love that movie...baby steps into the hall....baby steps into the elevator.........:rotfl2:

That's the one :thumbsup2 Thanks :goodvibes

LOL - yeah it's a great movie, you almost feel sorry for the Dad of the family - but you gotta love Bob
