They are really sticking it to the Fort Wilderness folks that want to board their pets and don't have a seperate vehicle with them!!! Can you imagine how big of a hassle it is to unhook the motor home from the site 2 - 3 times a day just to transport their pet to/from the Kennel!!!

Is the kennel parking lot even big enough for a motor home???

I know that is going to be an issue! I will be there Friday and I will be sure and ask and see what they are going to do with the FW kennels. I will also check out the parking lot!

Are their photos of the other rooms or do they just have the VIP suites on webcam? And the doggy daycare looks pretty empty this morning...looks like it's not quite complete and they are still working on it.

One more question that might have been answered already....the Indoor/Outdoor suite says 1 potty walk a day....do they have a doggy door? A potty mat??? I don't understand if they only get one potty break a day, surely they get to let themselves out or something?

Hey Bama T,

When you go *if* you have time, would you please take a pix of the regular dog pen areas? I can't find pix anywhere.

Also, did you check out the Fox channel photo link? http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/web_links/090110-disney-luxury-pet-resort There's a good pix of what I guess is one of the VIP areas. There's lots of photos of dogs, but not much of the facility other than what we've already seen. If you're a cat owner, it has a great pix of the kitty condo area.

:)

Hello everyone! Im sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get back to you.

I am going to upload some pics and update (or make a new one, not sure) this FAQ thread.

let me see if I can answer some questions for ya.

There is room to park a motorhome, tight sqeeze, but yes. ;)

I couldnt take any pics of the standard Villas or suites. I dont know why, but they said no way. :confused3

Just the VIP villas have the webcam, and as of last weekend, it shut off about 6 or 7 that nite. BIG PROBLEM WITH ME THERE. :headache:

For the standard Villas, they had this little "patio" and it was concrete. I guess for easier cleaning, not sure. It was gated up and no doggy doors. They will open the door for the dogs to go out into it to potty. The reason for no doggy doors is because a staff member HAS TO BE WITH YOUR DOG AT ALL TIMES which is a good thing!

I will get to the re vamping of this thread ASAP this week! :)

Just found this one. Do y'all think picture #11 is the lower cost indoor/outdoor dog space?

http://celebrationfl.blogspot.com/2010/09/disney-world-means-luxury-for-pets-as.html

Pic 11 is the VACATION VILLA! (see the flat screen on the wall, just catch the corner of it) That doggy door DOES NOT OPEN!

The lower cost Indoor boarding is basically crates lined up next to each other, they wouldnt allow picture taking in there! They are very roomy, but kind of like the old TTC kennel.

Thanks for getting back and posting about your trip :) I think we've made our decision to let our doggies stay home....they like this kennel enough and it's very clean and safe. They have indoor/outdoor runs and they are very very roomy, just a tad smaller than the Disney VIP suites but they have concrete floors with a rubber mat on top. They like the outdoor shaded run attached to their room too, and they have pool time and private play areas.

While I'd love to be able to see them daily, we can't afford the VIP suite and if the other ones are just like crates lined up, well...that's not worth it really. I don't like how they are trying to keep those from public view too, that just seems ??? I don't know, just not really nice.
