I thought my Hubby was NUTZ and now I KNOW he is. NOT only does he want to go to WDW for the week he also wants to go to the event 999 Happy Haunts. We have Never done this event so I said ok..Little did I know $150 per person. OK so THEN he tells me oh yea and I want to go to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party...OK now I am thinking ok almost $40 per person, times both these events by 3. OK so we can handle the $570...this one time... We have a time share which we have to pay for weather we use it or not so that is another few hundred added in. Let's NOT forget plane fare $570 for that. Oh and then the Rental Car for a week so I can only assume about $200 or so for that. THEN he threw me for a COMPLETE Loop.... and tells me oh, well Since we are going for the week, why not go to the Mickey's Not So Scary Party for the 4 days they will have it while we are there??? OK so NOW I am looking at our Annual Passes well wouldn't ya know it they expire in August sooooo Tack on another $1,000 to renew the 3 of them... So all in all this one week trip from Friday October 24 - Friday October 29 is going to cost us almost $5,000. We still have to figure in food and of course we can never go to WDW without buying $500 worth of pins. Since there are "special ones" for hallween make that $1,000..... ok I think I am going to have a Heart Attack !!!:earseek: Make that I AM going to have one  is there a full moon out tonight or something?? Is anyone else going through this?? Are there such thing Disney Addict Therapists? Oh.....boy...........Stacy

I wish your husband would wear off on my husband. :p

Have a great time.

Wow!

I'd go along with all of that except for the part about going to MNSSHP 4 freakin' times....

maybe he'd want to put some of that cash toward some food & wine festival events....althought it sounds like there's at least one child involved, so maybe not.

The Haunted Mansion event would probably not be a lot of fun for kids either... if you bring one, you might consider skipping the auction event and going straight to the thing at the park...but then, you've PAID for the auction event. Usually only a few attractions in Liberty Square, Frontierland and perhaps Adventureland are open for this event, not the greater number they have open for MNSSHP. Unless you are really interested in the limited edition HM merchandise they sell to attendees of this event, you might be better off skipping it.

Can anyone provide me details about the 999 Happy Haunts event this year (i.e date, ticket registration website, etc)? I did not realize that it is an annual event and my husband and I would love to go.

Thank you.

Does anyone know the date of the Happy Haunts Ball? We're going Oct. 25-Nov.1. I think there are 4 mnsshp scheduled. I'm thinking if the Happy Haunts Ball is that week, it will be another night that MK closes early. I may have to rethink my dates.

Check DisneyGallery.com. Information on HHB is there. There are three packages and the cheapest is $149.00 this year. A group of us have gone to the last two but not sure about this year. Not much is offered for the cheapest package. I'm not sure you can even attend the auction (even if you wanted to). You will note auction is left off the description for this package.

As TDC Nala pointed out, not all rides are open. Last year they opened Pirates only because Thunder Mountain was down for rehab.

HBB is considered a merchandise event. There are pins, framed pin sets, figurines, shirts, etc. Last year they had a 13 hour clock which is very cool.
