WDW in Oct.

I will going Oct. 8-13 to WDW on my honeymoon. How is the croud at this time of year. I went in June 2 yrs ago and it was very crouded (suprise!!). We are staying at por. How would you rate this resort compared to the others. Are there any good restaurants you can eat at, I see most people say that they are all booked up most of the time. Also where can I find out how to book a fireworks cruise and which one would you recommend.

Well October is really a wildcard type of month when it comes to Disney. A lot of people witll tell you that October is conventions month. Big conventions will occupy hotels that can accommodate conventions.

Also, some school systems have Fall Break (not all have them, but some do). This will add to crowd levels. I went the last week of October last year and it did not seem that crowded to me compared to last week (Spring Break). Crowd levels are really what you think they are. Some people don't consider a 40 minute wait on Splash that crowded other would disagree totally.

It's really difficult to gauge crowd levels anymore. I would say just pick your week and stick with it. Trying to float your vacation time to a week that is less crowded is difficult and could back fire if you are not careful.

When I went last year, our week was all 6's. In the mornings, we could walk on rides. In the afternoons, some had 20 minute waits. The biggies could have longer waits, but we fast-passed the biggies. The largest wait I saw was 75 minutes for Soarin' but it was a new ride. And we FP'd it.
