:wave2: everyone!

Was just wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect crowd wise for the first two weeks of July?

We go every year in October and love it but this year we can't do October so opted for 30th June for two weeks mainly because we could get the exact flights we wanted using virgin miles and the hotel we wanted using our points!

Also, how is the fantasyland expansion coming along? Have been away from the boards for some months now so trying to catch back up :cutie:

Many thanks in advance :flower3:

I would be prepared for it to be hot...and busy.

Have never been in July but I know that it is high season as all the US kids are out of school and obviously you have the 4th of July holiday in there too.

I think, though, if you get to the parks early and make use of FP, you can get plenty done.

If the weather is anything like it is in August it will be extremely hot and humid. We usually manage this by going to the parks early and then taking a break around midday, to escape the heat of the day, then returning to the parks in the early evening when it has cooled off a bit.

As far as the Fantasyland expansion is concerned, there was a thread posted a few days ago with some updates. I have linked to it here

As Joh said - Hot Humid and busy!

4th July will be capacity at MK. There are special fireworks shown (and I think they are on the 3rd too).

We just got back from doing WDW during Presidents week - if you get to the parks at Rope drop, use FP (bear in mind the enforcement of return times is starting) and leave at lunch you will miss the crowds :thumbsup2

Sorry to say but im sure most will agree...

VERY HOT and HUMID and VERY VERY BUSY... Try and go as early as possible to the
parks but will still be packed out...

But you will still have a mega time... !

we went from 24th June one year and it was as all the PP have said VERY HOT and EXTREMLEY HUMID. The crowds were huge from day one but come 4th July it reached max cap in the MK and we just left! I would say plan to get out of the parks by mid day for a few hours and go swimming or something then go back in much later. Also it did rain everyday for about 1 hour, which to tell you the truth was bliss:) Like you we normally go late October or November when the weather is just perfect so we were still really taken back by the heat etc even though we were told to expect it.
No matter what, so long as you plan to get out of that heat/humidity at some point during the day, you will still love it...Happy planning

Thank you everyone :)

We don't mind too much about the crowds in terms of ride waits. As long as we can get in the park that's the main thing, we're happy to skip the rides and just love the atmostphere! So thank you for the tips to get there early, we will definitely do this now!

We will most definitely be factoring in some pool time away from the parks, sounds like we're going to need that! Luckily it's just the two of us so will probably be a lot easier around the crowds!

Our holidays to WDW have only been at the end of June/first two weeks in July.
Yes it is busy but if you aim to get to the parks for rope drop the parks are perfectly doable.

This year will be our first time goings a park on the 4th. Normally we head for the outlets and shopping mall to catch up on the sales :goodvibes
Then in the evening we head to EPCOT for the special Illuminations. Even though it is busy EPCOT seems to handle the crowds well and we have always found a good spot.
