I am taking my mom (who was recently diagnosed with dementia) and my 23yo son with Down syndrome to visit in December. I picked POFQ because of it's smaller size - hoping it will be less overwhelming for them than larger resorts.

We will make it to all 4 parks so we will get to see the holiday decorations at each. Since both of them LOVE Christmas, I want to be sure to resort hop to check out the decorations. Which hotels are "must sees" so that I can plan some of our days/evenings out.'

Thank you!

Copper Creek and Grand Floridian stand out. I also love the giant Christmas tree they have in Jambo house. I heard the people at Fort Wilderness also deck out their campsites in Christmas decorations which may be cool to see.

Agree with both PPs 💯 (And POFQ is a wonderful choice for a resort that won’t overwhelm, cute theming but not overwhelming & easy navigation!)

Just a note on the idea above of FW campsites being decorated, however, I don’t think that would be something for you to easily see.

But other than that, looking forward to seeing some of these resorts decorated as well. Great question!

In addition for the 4 parks, I'd suggest getting to Disney Springs. There's supposed to be a Christmas Tree walk there-I don't remember much about it except that when I read it, I thought I'd really like to see it.

Unfortunately, the old Christmas Tree stroll at Disney Springs where all the trees are in one area is no more, they're spread out all around DS. Overall it makes things more festive, but if you want to see them all you need to do a lot of walking.

Thanks for correcting me. I thought it was all in a row at the Marketplace end.

I remember when it use to be. We went last year, and yeah, spread out all over.
Disney Springs has snow (snoap) after the sun goes down near the Christmas tree by the Lime garage. Might be a great place to catch an evening dinner, meet Santa, and check out the snow!

We stayed at FQ in December in 2019 and loved it. The Christmas decorations there were really nice, I was surprised by the amount of them 🙂. The small foot print was really nice too and it was very quiet.

We went to the GF to see the tree there and the gingerbread house, and then walked to the Poly also. We also did the Christmas tree stroll at Disney Springs but I see that has changed, it was fun but not sure I would want to walk all of Springs to see it.

I would also consider going to see Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were just there and with how breathtaking the lobby was, I can’t imagine how amazing it would look decorated for Christmas.
