WDW Holidays special on Food Network

Do you think the whole show was done from last year? Obviously they had a few scenes from the MVMCP and of course the first one for this year wasn't until last night and the castle as already mentioned.

But, this is a new show so maybe some of it was taped this year?? I'm wondering when they constructed all of the displays, especially the GF's gingerbread house since they said it takes like 400 hours or so. Anyone there in the last few weeks that saw the house go up?

One of favorite things to do during the holidays is to visit the resorts and check out their decorations. The S/D also have some really nice displays including an edible gingerbread house at the Swan.

I was at Grand Floridian a couple of days ago and the Gingerbread House was not up yet. So it was definately taped in a prior year. I don't care, it was neat seeing how everything was made.

I came in late to the show. I want to know where they get the modeling chocolate!

It's a new show, release-wise, but it was filmed last year. They probably figured there wouldn't be enough time to film it this year, edit it, and have it ready for broadcast. And as Feralpeg said, the gingerbread house isn't up yet at the Grand Flo.

I have a picture of last year's carousel from the Beach Club, and I've seen pictures from previous years. The carousel is definitely from 2004.

Anyone know when they do construct the gingerbread house at the Grand Flo? We watched the show last night and my husband said he'd like to see it get put up. We are planning a trip next December, so maybe we can time it right.

They better have the GB house up by 12/9 when we tour the monrail resorts; it never occured to me that they wouldn't!

I'm sure some of the segments of this show were on last year. They looked familiar. I think Disney is trying to get a bit more use of "Raven" before her 15 minutes are up. She looked, by the way, likely she had been sampling a lot of the displays. Still, it was a great show to see, and will give us a chance to compare with the real thing next week.
