Day 7 - Tuesday 10/19/04

Who: Mark (me-26)
Molly (DW, 28)
Eric (DS, 2 1/2, first trip since he was 8 months old)
Haley (DD, 4.5 months)

Staying: Old Key West, first stay with our DVC points!!

Plan: Play it by ear...

Actual:
Well we all slept in and enjoyed the fact we were on vacation. We thought about going to MGM, but decided that there wasn't too much besides Bear and and Ariel that Eric would really get into so we nix'd that idea. Instead we took it easy and decided to head to Epcot to spend some time at Innoventions, which we skipped when we were there the first time. So we packed up and headed out. We spent a lot of time at innoventions and had a lot of fun... We all ran the Robot race, built our own plastic robot, Eric made his own paper, played some Mickey tag, fought some fires, played some PlayStation games, played the IBM ship game, I checked out the Ultimate Home theater, toured the future house, and MOlly and I even did a little Dance, Dance Revolution. We really had fun just taking it easy enjoying all the little areas. Molly and I hadn't actually been into innoventions since our honeymoon trip back in 1999. Once we were done there we went to "The Land" for some lunch and a trip around the land. Eric really enjoyed it and Molly liked it that they were creating Mickey pumpkings! After the Land we went and saw Figment one last time, Haley got scared by the burst of air this time, but once we entered figments house she had calmed down a bit!! :) Once we were done there we started our trek around the World Showcase. I wanted to see the American Adventure, which we had never seen in all of our trips! We were able to get our picture taken with the fountain and SE in the background at night since our earlier Epcot pictures didn't come out... On our way around we made a stop in France so I could get some escargot, and a creme brulee for Molly. They were both very good. We didn't have to wait long for the American Adventure to begin. I think we caught the 7:30 show. As with Wishes, I had been listening to the American Adventure soundtrack so it was cool to put the song with the show. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm glad we came back to Epcot to catch it. On our way out we took another ride on Maelstorm. Eric was unsure at first, but loosened up once we started going! Then we took the first left after the bridge, heading past the building that used to have a restaurant in it, and we made a stop at Mouse Works for some last chance shopping!! :) Once again we spent more than we should've, but hey they just have such cool stuff we can't find at home!! :) While we were shopping Illuminations started, but it was okay we saw it on Thursday, plus we heard it rained a bit during the show. On our way out we picked up our pictures and headed home. It was a nice relaxing no rush day! Too bad it was all almost over!! :(

Once we got home and got everyone put to bed I headed out to Pleasue Island to catch the last Comedy Warehouse show... While I waited I got to see their fireworks display, no Epcot or MK but it was fireworks!! Once I was able to get a seat it was cool to look around and checkout all the old park memorabilia they had. Ordered my coke and popcorn. I know next time to order coke with little ice because I didn't know I couldn't get refills!! The show started out pretty good they talked to a kid on vacation with his mom and her friend. They asked him a lot of questions that they turned into their opening song. It was pretty funny. Another skit they did was a pair of them were window washers and they had to act out to all the different movie genre's. That was the best!! The last two were just okay. One was they were on a talk show and were supposed to be Star Wars action figure specialists... The one guy was supposed to be living in his parents basement, the second worked at Wal-mart (he was the best, tall skinny guy), and the third was a guy dressed as a woman that turned her portion into Ronald Regan's Star Wars campaing... It was alright, the Wall-Mart guy was the best! And their final number was a western gig about... Heck I can't even remember what it was about!! :) On a whole, I really enjoyed the show, and if the next time we make it down it is just Molly and I, she will definitely have to check it out and I'll stay with the kids... Then before I headed back to OKW I picked up one of their huge Gyros there on the walk since we had skipped dinner I was starving!!

Thanks for reading,
Mark
