We are going back after a six year hiatus! My babies were 3 and 6 the last time we there!!! They are not babies anymore, for sure! My daughter, will be 9 at the time of the trip and is a complete princess. My son, will be 12 at the time of the trip, and is ALL boy. THINK Star Wars and football!

Our tentative dates are Dec 12-19, but I'm still waiting to see if anything is announced for free dining AND Southwest airlines to open up December dates!

The last time we went, it was a little later maybe 17-22nd?

My question is, how do you think the crowds will be during this time?

Thanks!

Our family went Dec 10-17 in 2010 and it was Wonderful! We have gone twice "right before Christmas" and it was a good time to go. This year may be a little different, because of Christmas falling on a Saturday - so families may start coming in the Saturday before ---meaning Dec 17th. I think the first part of your trip will be great, but that last weekend will be really busy. Check out **************.net for predictions. Disney has also changed the pricing since we went. That week is now considered Peak, so it's 25 to 45% more expensive than Value.
Hope you get a good deal and have fun!pixiedust:

Thanks! We might change our days a smidge depending on when/if they offer free dining. Also, last time we went, it was cheaper to go a day early than we originally planned, so that was fine with us! Southwest won't open their December fares until June, so we have a bit of time.

WOW! 19 years is a long time!!!
It is but I think it will make this trip more special. Now, going back as an adult, it's going to be fun to remember my previous trip and see how things have changed.

We were there this past December 12 to 19 and the crowds started to grow by the end of the trip. Have a great time.

Beautiful time to go. Crowds are moderate, weather is wonderful, MVMCP is offered, and the resorts are decorated. If you are not staying at a deluxe resort, make sure to visit to see some of them to see the fantastic decorations. Have loads of fun!

Things have changed since you last visited, so be sure to make yourself familiar with FPs and ADRs to make your trip the most enjoyable it can be.

Oh, I cannot wait for Southwest Airlines to publish their December fares!

I was just checking airfare prices and only United and American have posted their December and January Dates.
