WDW/DCL Western Caribbean Honeymoon Extravaganza!! DONE!!! - PG 51!!

Yeah, the drunken scooter riding white trash frat boys were a huge bummer.

Just to be clear - we fully endorse drinking, swearing and scooter riding. But when you are drinking, swearing loudly(and we're talking multiple F-bombs per sentence) and driving in a theme park geared towards families at 11 a.m. you really need to be sorted out. It's not cool, it's not funny, and if you're old enough to be in college you are old enough to know better.
The bright side is that it was such a gross exception to the rule that it made me really appreciate how nice most people you run into are.

BUT - even the rudest people in Florida could not dampen our spirits for long on the last day of our honeymoon!

I drink and curse too, but I would've thought it was inappropriate too. I would never purposefly curse where there's that many kids around, and I always drink in moderation.

I completely agree with going back to the world after the Disney cruise - you just appreciate it so much more! That is really awful about those...BOYs. I totally endorse enjoying oneself on vacation (drinking is included for us :) but have some respect! Well, glad to see you are back in Epcot. BTW - Avis is not a good company (after my honeymoon rant though, I won't go into the 'why' on your thread :flower3:).

Yeah, it was REALLY inappropriate. Remember where you are, people!! Respect the Mouse!

Tell it!! I want to hear your opinion on Avis. I will never use them again after what happened on the way down. Granted, I KNOW it was my fault for not checking what time they closed but they were just kind of like, "Oh welll, can't help you!" Plus the wait for the shuttle at the port was terrible!! Especially since we were so anxious to get to Epcot.

You guys really love Epcot, which is v cool as it runs close to first with MK for me :)

How horrible you had to sit and eat whilst listening to annoying drunken frat boys. I really don't see a need for people to be like that, esp in a family place.

Am glad Jack is doing ok and he looks on the mend in those pics. Such a cutey :)

Ugh about the frat boys. That's really cool guys...Not!!!:sad2:

Glad to hear your trip ended on a high...can't wait to hear more about your day in Epcot!:goodvibes

It was quite clear that the crowds had changed from Brazilian tour groups, to obnoxious drunken frat boys!! As we found our seat, there was a large group of guys sitting not that far from us. They were loud...and they were bragging about getting drunk and cursing A LOT. Now listen, I curse and I drink but it was so inappropriate, it was making me cringe! BUT, I tried my best to enjoy my snack and drink.

OMG I thought the same thing when we went. We saw kids with shirts about drinking around the world (which I did think was cool and was going to make one myself until I remembered I was going WITH my kids LOL) and HEY, Im all for drinking around the world, and I too drink and curse, but again there is a time and place, NOT at a family park to be OBNOXIOUS!

And so glad to hear the car gods worked with you this time. Sort of! Glad you had a better day at Epcot then the cruise!

It took a while for me to admit to myself that Epcot had surpassed the MK!

Yeah those guys were killing me! It's like, think about where you are!

Yeah, not cool at all!! BUT we still had a fantastic day in Epcot!

Exactly! It was totally inappropriate. I mean, you SAW my pictures after lunch in the Biergarten and dinner at Rose and Crown...but we weren't bothering anyone with our drunkeness!

Epcot *huge sigh* I miss it

Totall!! Haha! LOVE :lovestruc Epcot!

Alright (but warning you that most find this disturbing)...
When I was 8 years old (with 5 siblings) my dad got in a car accident when traveling for work. He worked for GM and he rented a car from Avis. The car was faulty & recalled and Avis rented it anyway. He was in a coma for 5 years and died when I was 13 after never coming out of it. Avis and GM were found at fault but they preferred paying off the people that died from these accidents than to pull the cars from the streets. Of course now, the car companies get such bad press that they pull the cars (I guess the money to spend on that is now less than paying people off - no thought for human life, just on their bottom line).

The worst part of it is that the company I work for now exclusively uses Avis. So when I travel, I request a non-GM car and I tell Avis and my HR company that they will be in the deepest doo-doo if anything happens to me. I try hard to take public transportation on business but sometimes I have to rent a car. As for Avis now, they constantly forget to give me the right car, never seem to have it ready for me, never give me my points/miles, and they don't clean them either. I've found things in the car that they have to get and they want me to come back to them to give it to them! Nope, drive to me and get that other person's drivers license. So yeah, Avis sucks!

That's absolutely terrible. Unfortunately it's a valid statement on the way a lot of companies work. The bottom line is all that matters. An even better reason to never use Avis again! I always feel like personal stories like that will eventually add up and come back to haunt them. Thank you for sharing it.

I should have said I love world showcase :)

Well, of course! Whenever I say "Epcot" I pretty much always mean World Showcase! :thumbsup2

That is just awful! Unbelievable.

WAIT! When exactly was your last day in Epcot?? Because I swear I saw those guys...

Either that or there was another group like that...

ETA: I just went back to the beginning, 8/1 was when we were there, so if it was in fact that day, then yep! Same guys! When we saw them at 730 they were much more toned down. But seriously...11-730?!!?!

So glad that your Epcot day is going well (despite those morons on the ECVs)! Looking forward to more. :)

I know, I know...it's like one thing after the next!! We just did NOT have luck on our side on this trip! I'll also note that on the cruise, Tom broke both his glasses AND sunglasses. I appreciate your sympathy!

Yes it was great to be able to see the medical center, which otherwise, I wouldn't have seen...if there must be a brightside! It was nice but kind of smelled like vomit. Sun poisoning, huh? That STINKS! Once Tom had that first dose of meds, it was almost immediately better. And it hasn't bothered him since. Thanks for asking!

That's funny that you'll be on the cruise with Ellen (podnel). Is there a meet thread? I've never had the good fortune of vacationing with her but I hear she's a blast!

Unfortunately, we most likely won't do a cruise again and we have our next two WDW trips already planned (before our APs expire) and after that we need to hold off on the vacations for a while. We need to buy a house so we can have the babies!!!

It was SO nice to have the ship to ourselves. It had been exactly one week since the first picture I took and the fact that it was not only not better, but much worse, really made us worry! Yes, drinks always help! Tom has NOT had any follow up on his elbow. It's been fine since we got home, though. Thanks for asking!

That's right- I am a VERY good time!!!party:party: Sorry I've gotten so far behind- I'm busy catching up now!

Very cool! :thumbsup2

YAY!!!! I am so glad Jack is back!!

Oh no!! Some people can be so annoying. Proud of you for standing up to them :thumbsup2

Hope Jack is feeling better. Can't wait to hear the rest of your magical day popcorn::

I'm also very non-confrontational, but good for you for saying something to them, Nikki. Come on -- everyone knows that WDW is a *FAMILY* place -- so their behavior was really out of line -- if for no other reason than to not detract from the happy, wonderful, friendly environment. I just don't get some people.

But I'm so glad it didn't detract from your wonderful day in Epcot!! :cool1:
