WDW Backstage Magic tour after disembarking DCL Port Canaveral

Hi Everyone

wondering if anyone has done the WDW Backstage Magic Tour on the same day your disembark DCL cruise from Port Canaveral?

I know last cruise we took our time getting off the ship and still made it to Bay Lake Towers before 10am using private car.

The tour starts at 9am
but notes check in 15 min before tour at EPCOT GUIDED TOURS MEETING LOCATION

it's about 1 hour 7min drive from port to Poly Resort (where we are staying)

we are "killing" one day between DCL cruises and have done the parks so many times...thought we should try something else.

but just don't know if it's really "doable" to make the tour or not
so wondering if anyone else out there has manged to do this or not.

Well, IF the ship makes port on time, and IF customs/immigration clearance is quick, and IF the doors open at 7:30 (as they mostly do), and IF you are standing there being first off, and IF the immigration/customs people aren't feeling ornery that day, and IF you can get to your transportation and get on the highway immediately, and IF there are no construction or accident issues enroute, you might make it.

Personally, that's too close for me.

Do you have your own vehicle or will you be relying on alternative transportation to WDW? If you have your own vehicle, you could toss your luggage in it and head straight to EPCOT's parking lot. You'd be cutting it close, but I believe in pixie dust. Have a great trip!

As others have said... if everything goes perfectly, you should be able to make it just in time. But if there's any kind of delay at the port, or traffic into Orlando, you could potentially miss out on the tour, and there's no way to join the tour after it starts due to the amount of hopping around the resort they do.

looks like it might be better to play it safe....than miss out on the tour

it is a fun tour, but i agree that is cutting it too close!

I know we would really enjoy the tour.

Been trying to do it for couple years now...but just can't make it work the days we are there....or the tour sells out.
