We went to WDW about 11 years ago at Thanksgiving time and the crowds were wonderful (hardly any), but I've read in the past that it is very crowded now during this time. Exactly when do the crowds show up? Is it the week before Thanksgiving or the week after or only for the 4 day holiday period? Thinking about a trip during this time, but maybe we should pick a different time. Any tips would be great.

We went during Thanksgiving last year. Never again! It was VERY crowded. Using fastpass we got to do most of what we wanted but if you can go at another time I would definately do it. We spent so much time trying to get from one thing to the next to "beat the crowds" that it didnt allow us time to just enjoy being there. The Christmas decorations were beautiful though and the weather was perfect. We went to MK the Mon & Tues before Thanksgiving by the way.

We were in the World last year the week before Thanksgiving. The crowds were fine.. until.. overnight.. WOW. One day the lines at the Food court were non exsitant- the next morning you couldn't get toast or drinks without a half hour wait.
You couldn't move around the parks. My DU cut his vacation short (If you can call a month short.. lucky bum) because of the crowds the week of Thanksgiving. Line ups for most rides were over an hour and a half- even single rider lines were crazy.

We're arriving on Thanksgiving Day. We're planning on not even going near MK that day or the next!! We'll do Epcot on Thanksgiving, and probably AK the day after. Hoping that by Sunday the crowds die down. Then Mon-Wed for us should be nice.
